I tried Ola ebike service for commuting a short distance ~ 5km. The experience was good and the fare was also cheap(50 Rs.). 
I spoke to the driver about earnings and whether he has to give EMI for the OE bike. Then he showed me the below table - how his earnings are calculated. 

I got shocked at seeing the high earnings amount - upto 4.5K daily which amounts to 1.35 lac monthly! 
He told me that Ola ebike is for short distances only - Upto 7-8 kms. And he is able to get average 3-4 rides in 1 hour, and he also doesn't have to pay for the vehicle rent. The Charging is also free at Ola Chargers. 

I couldn't help but wonder how can Ola sustain with this much spending. If they're giving upto 1lac to every driver and charging the user very less, that's a lot of cash burn.

Namma Yatri Parent Raises $11 Million in Funding

- FlixBus has launched 14 new buses on six routes around Bengaluru, expanding its presence to 101 cities in India.
- Karnataka's minister of commerce & industries, MB Patil, flagged off the new services, highlighting the enhancement of public transport options.
- A promotional fare of INR 99 is available for the new routes, with bookings open from September 3 to September 15 and departures from September 10 to October 6.
- FlixBus, founded in 2011, offers low-cost intercity bus services in over 40 countries and entered the Indian market in February with Delhi as its initial hub.
- The company plans to collaborate with local bus operators in South India to further enhance its operations.

I say bcs of below reasons
1) unfair price by Auto (noone run on meter)
2) Due to traffic Bike taxi easily take us on time compared to other mode
3)Many poor immigrants or employees easily earn bit more as a part time job.

I am planning to settle down in one particular city in the next  3 to 5 years. I am currently evaluating Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. 
From long term perspective ( for next 20 to 30 years) Which city will offer better job prospects ( IT/Software Development/Product Management/Strategy related jobs) along with a decent life style supported by satisfactory amenities like  Gated housing options which are not super expensive, Good schooling options for kids, Decent commuting facilities like Metro, wide roads etc. 
Interested to hear feedback from folks who went through or going through this dilemma.

It took 2 hrs from Sarjapur to Airport, out of which 1 hour was only for crossing Marathahalli.

It feels so stupid calling Bangalore a Tier 1 city, bhai Paani nahi hai airport jaane me flight ka aadha kharcha lag jata time ke saath. Why am I even paying tax.

Saw this on Twitter today. Tech Mahindra hiring graduates for 3.25 LPA and 24*7 Shift timing. I talked to various people to get an idea of their pay. 
A) A plumber lives near my house. He said he earns 2-3k daily and works for 20-25 days average. He earns 50-60k per month. 
B) Electrician earns in the same range. 

And other technicians and workers like this who are skilled earn a lot more than a software engineer. 
This is the hard reality. Students study for 16 years and pay 15-20 lacs college fees for this.

Plumbers, Electricians earn more than an average engineer.

Welcome to the real world! 
  
 At the same time, you should know electricians/plumbers add more value to the society than a “fresher” TechM shift employee. If you’ve paid college fee that should not entitle you for a high-paying job. It’s just a privilege.  
  
 Sooner you realise this, better it would be.
