I've found trains to be the best way to commute between Bangalore and mysore. Cheapest and takes similar time as going by road. Only prefer chair car trains though.

Hey viners, lived in Koramangala for about 2 years now. Bangalore isn't my native, and I don't really need to go to office everyday (optional as of now). Early post covid rented house, hence not having a bloated expense now in terms of monthly rent. But I really want to move out of Koramangala, it's so much NOISE and I'm not really the party animal. I have lives in a lot of cities, both tier 1 and tier 2. But nowhere have i seen road quality as pathetic as in Bangalore. Even remote villages in UP have better paved roads. And living in Delhi, I had almost forgotten that potholes still exist. I really want to understand how the silicon valley of India has completely failed at building even an average level road infrastructure? Is it due to corruption or something else that we don’t know of?

People have this weird notion that Delhi/Gurgaon isn't safe and that the folks here are as warm as an ice cube in Antarctica. Can you believe that? This narrative has been doing the rounds for so long that it's starting to affect the migration of people to this part of the world. But let me set the record straight.

Gurgaon is the real deal. It's the city with good infrastructure and a welcoming vibe for migrants. It's like the cool kid at the party, while Bangalore has a little something called the Bangalore police. Now, these folks, they've got a unique way of welcoming North Indians – by demanding money when they hear you speaking Hindi. Yes, you heard that right.

I've had not one but two laughable encounters with them. Picture this: I'm just out for a casual late-night walk at 11 PM (because who needs sleep, right?), and out pops Mr. Constable, asking for his "fee" and insisting it's against the law to stroll around at that hour. And guess what? I'm not the only one in this comedy club. Hundreds of people have taken to Twitter to share their own hilarious stories.

Now, let's switch gears and talk about Gurgaon. It's got the smooth roads, a fast track to the airport, and apartments where you don't need to sacrifice your life savings as a deposit. It's the practical choice for newcomers.

So, in a nutshell, let's keep challenging these stereotypes and celebrate the positives of each city. Gurgaon, you're the real MVP, and Bangalore, maybe it's time for you to rethink your police's comedy night. City rivalries – always good for a chuckle!

 Reminds me of Vir Das. I live in 2 Gurgaons. One which has smooth roads, and other where people can’t even walk. 
  
 And yes - people here are arrogant, with zero civic sense - though that’s true for most cities in India, but def worse than Mumbai (stayed there for 10 years, hence can see the difference clearly). 
  
 Let’s not even talk about the air quality, extreme heat and cold (subjective, I know). 
 Traffic post pandemic is not smooth either. In fact people drive extremely bad, and carry a lot of ego while on the road. 
  
 Couple of good things: 
 1. Proximity to airport 
 2. Size of houses 
  
 PS : staying here for the past 4 years.

There are so many infrastructure issues.  Travel issues etc

But at the same time, Bangalore is the major leagues for tech in India. 
Events, meetups, startups all are prevalent mostly in Bangalore.

Given all this, and having a choice on where you wanna stay, what would you choose?

2. Other city?
