Biggest challenge and it’s learning

I'm working at a decently large firm here in Bangalore, leading a cool project that involves stuff I really like, like modeling and data engineering. Plus, I'm helping leadership team with some cool projects which is giving me a lot of visibility in the org. Lately I'm finding it hard to stay motivated. I'm on medication and seeing a therapist for depression, and I’ve been feeling a lot better overall. It's just that with all these responsibilities I'm not feeling happy. I sometimes vent out on juniors or colleagues (erratic behaviour). Has anyone else gone through something like this? What helped you get past this kind of mental block? Any tips or advice would be really helpful.

My current salary is 42LPA. I am from IIT, have 7 years of experience and work in product. Honestly, my value in the market is higher than what I’m being paid but I am very demotivated to optimise for that. When I do see less deserving people minting more money, I feel that I am doing injustice to myself and playing the wrong hand. More and more though, the thought of earning more money chokes me a bit. I have dreams of building something of my own - that gives me control to build something my way and freedom to live my life as per my terms. But the mindset of “zyada paisa pareshaani hai” doesn’t leave me. My family also is not dependent on me and whatever is needed from my side, I actively contribute to. I also lack any motivation to focus on my investments and see my money grow. I just have money sitting around in my bank account purely for nothing I also look at my lifestyle choices from time to time and go into existential debate of why we need the things that we do. This has come to a point where I really do not understand my relationship with money and why we earn and spend it. For me at this point, it’s just a show for the world. There’s very little that you need, and really no limit to what you want to show. And I just don’t see a point in it anymore.

Doston, I'm a 26 year old, run-of-the-mill MBA grad who has just been coasting through life until a very recent and intense encounter with the perils of modern life. Background brief: Academics : 8/5/8; MBA from NMIMS Mumbai ~2yrs of work ex in sales; have worked in financial sales, currently working in non-alco bev sales I have very few hard skills and am not sure where to start. Still, I'm seduced by other lucrative jobs/profiles such as finance, PM, consulting, which feel inaccessible at this point. I've accepted that there's nothing I can do to change the past, but I'm seeking guidance on how to shape my career from this point forward. How do you keep yourself motivated and disciplined. I almost forgot that this is a new year. Yes, I'm supposed to be motivated and work on my resolutions 🥲, I often find myself settling for less and slipping into a comfort zone. Occasionally, I get bursts of motivation and make plans, but I struggle to stay on track. My attention span has reduced, and I easily get distracted, especially with phone notifications. I've tried digital well-being tools, but the real solution seems to be strict discipline. How do others tackle this issue? I'm eager to learn from different perspectives and strategies.

I'm a marketer with 4 years of experience working with startups, corporates across different industries. One thing I'm realizing is that having a single source of income is just not sustainable anymore. Also, I've been dreaming to go indie hacking or take the solopreneurship route for quite some time now. But the biggest barrier has been the commitments I've got at my job. If any of you have started a side hustle or are planning to start one, how are you balancing it with your day job? What are the challenges you faced/are facing and how have you overcome them? 10 years of schooling, studying hard during festivals, sacrificing my playtime, my childhood for marks.. 2 years of high school - Completely cut-off from the world for a good college. 4 years of hard work for a job for a below average salary!!! On the other hand: Some random chai wala earns in lakhs. Some MLM meme girl, living a luxurious lifestyle. Insensible people are valued in society. Even a 12th fail selling beer in his family shop lives a better life. All the hard work I did is in vain? Whatever I did till this point of time was useless? What's the point of an endless struggle, if my destination has more struggle? Something is really wrong.. I have lost all my motivation 😞
