What am I doing wrong?

Would you be happy, satisfied and fulfilled by scamming people with MLM schemes? Would you respect yourself? Would you be happy, satisfied and fulfilled by running a tea stall? Dancing on Reels -> gaining followers -> being valued by society is nothing to be looked down upon. Creative pursuits, regardless of platform, are honourable hard work and deserve appreciation and respect. There are people earning millions of dollars doing OF. It depends on the individual whether they are happy doing it or not. So please don't get demotivated. If you see yourself entertaining people by all means work hard on social media. If you see yourself in the food and beverage industry by all means work hard to get there. But if you don't see yourself doing all of that and you see yourself doing what you're doing now or something similar but just earning much better, with a prestigious title tied to your name, and being valued and appreciated more by people, then just accept the fact that you've just begun to climb the mountain. Though it's a long and hard climb, it's worth the view. Hard work never goes to waste. Work harder and smarter. You'll get where you want to. But decide where you want to go. Stop looking at people who are not even in the same race as you. It's like cursing your destiny why am I not born at Ambani's place, it's if no use. Think and take action only about controllables and leave rest to God.

You are a good corporate professional making money in a respectable manner. This has come from you learning the right habits to become successful - working consistently hard. Now we see that there are others making more money than you. Zuckerburg once said - It takes the same amount of effort to build Facebook and a grocery store. Both the owners work 14 hours a day. And there comes other factors of success - 1/ Luck - Getting into the right field at the right time. Techbros did that knowingly or unknowingly 2/ Vision - Yup, having your own conception of what is gonna make it big and compound. 3/ Risk appetite - taking the risk to try something out. 4/ Skills - Being actually in the top quartile of what you do. Not just an IITian but the top 5% of them. 5/ Habits of successful people - working hard. Being really driven even at 2 am at night (passion). You base mental health plays a big factor into this. 6/ Privilege - Makes doing all the above easier if you have the habits. Most people only are able to do a few of these. The more you tick off the more the results.

Ah, the biggest scam statement we learnt or made to learn is - “Only education can change your future”. No, that’s not true anymore. At the same time, it’s your privilege that you got to study/learn during your growing years. Comparing it with someone else is another mistake. Keep on working hard, you will find a way.

Bro you also start selling chai, do all the gimmicks that he does. Travel to Maldives. If you enjoy all the above then just go do it. If not, work hard try to be top tier or keep job hopping till you are working with the right set of people. You are just looking at one chai wala, there are lakh af chai wala who are doing that for their survival and then for their comfort.

Its taking time for you because you are not manipulating people, selling your soul and fooling people. Be patient it will take time but it will be worth in the end

i do the bare minimum to keep the client happy and an external certification each year to bag a B without much effort. The true MINIMUM guy thriving in an ocean of mediocrity.

I think it's about the success ratio. You can dance on videos or sell chai and hope to be one in a million people to be really famous. Obviously the chances are really slim. OR You can work on your hard skills and get a very high chance to a below average starting salary (which increases with experience).

And here we are depending ki hike kitna milega? So bad man. Hard work ki keemat nhi h.

This is the opportunity investment, as you grow more you will find more such people who are utilising other ways to earn $. You can do it but for that you need to unlock your inner strength & sell that. Once you do this shit 10-15 lac job will sound like a shit.

Why not try something different...when it's that easy to earn money if chai wala can do it why not u... have seen many people on insta leaving their corporate jobs to start their own YT channel

Well you have now asked the right question, a question that many people fail to think about. Contemplate really doesn’t help, but there is something that you can take away from this question. A rudimentary answer to your question would be. You have been cheated and lied to. By whom? Education system, the same education system that natured you and gave you a job, the same education system that makes you think world is fair, the same education system that maintains your servile nature, and keep you under a million other servile people. What to do right? Find your passion, if you think there are many YouTubers who earn more, then it’s your time to start doing something, start learning something, instead of just sitting and quibbling about the various things. Start working on yourself, build a routine, work out, study if you wanna go abroad and see various other cultures. Do what motivates you.

It’s ok buddy, it is part of life where you are trying to find the answers which no one has, or do have (their own perspective). But don’t get demotivated with these thoughts, better take some time off from everyone, your friends, family, colleagues and then come back stronger.

Please don’t see success only in monetary terms. I know it might sound philosophical but it’s true. Leading a respectful and peaceful life is also success. Inspiring people is also success.being impactful and imparting knowledge to next generation is also success… Your degree and hardwork will never go in vain. Monetary success is fleeting, don’t lose hope because you perceive someone else as more successful with less qualification. Also, what we see is only a part of their life.. we don’t know their struggles or experiences… judging yourself on the basis of materialistic achievement is futile…

Measuring success by amount you make is a wrong idea. Dawood Abraham should be one of the most success full people then. You saw one chai wala make it big but don’t see the lakhs who will only make chai there whole life !!! It’s not chai which has made him successful but his attitude and unique style. He would have been doing this from ages and most people in his local area and circle would have been calling him crazy!!! But in this social media hungry world you never know what click. But at same time there are Lakshs of content creators waiting for their reels to go viral !!! You are only seeing success and looking at it from a very narrow lens. Second mistake you are equating education /literacy to success. Most medium scale shop owners make more money than mid level mamangers in service companies. Because they have taken a risk , they were never weighed down by their degrees, they are not worried about when next salary would come. They took risk of doing a business and doing it in any field which they basic knowledge as they didn’t have a degree or assured job back up. In life you will grow as long as you have a vision where you want to be and taking incremental steps towards it. Moment you look at other people success and start evaluating yourself you are going down hill. You only see people who make more money than you not the folks who struggling to get to your level. Pick yourself up. Life Bahut lambhi hai, Hosla Rakho, sapne Dekho and work on a plan to achieve them.
