Personally, Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb and Meditations by Marcus Aurelius.

The concept of Antifragility, where systems and individuals not only withstand chaos but actually benefit from it, had reshaped my perspective on risk, resilience, and adaptability. It is extremely complementary to the writings of Marcus Aurelius but differing in key ways.

While both Antifragility and Stoicism encourage resilience in the face of adversity, they approach it differently. Stoicism emphasizes inner calm and acceptance of what cannot be changed, while Antifragility encourages actively seeking out challenges and volatility to grow stronger. 

For me, the blend of these philosophies provides a more holistic approach to navigating life's uncertainties, combining the wisdom of the ancient Stoics with a proactive stance toward embracing chaos and harnessing it for personal growth.

Don't get me wrong. Bad managers are bad managers, and there's absolutely no justification for that.

But I've often seen that folks have zero idea of what their manager actually do, especially in Tech. Truth be told, there's a lot of things that managers have to do which simply happens in the background, and hence, people are not aware of it.

I read this book a few years ago which absolutely changed my perspective and made me respect my management more. Highly recommend you read it. You'll get fantastic insights on how to be a good manager, the advices written in the book can be applied in your personal (interpersonal relationships) and professional (applies both to individual contributors and managers) life.

Title is self explanatory. You could mention anything from fiction, non fiction, course books (try to avoid pls🫢). Anything that you would remember for a long time! 

Starting with mine -

1) Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (Fiction; Helped me during a particularly difficult phase in life)
2) Braving the Wilderness (Non fiction)
3) Harry Potter Series (I read the books recently, after watching the movies some 10 times. Just the imagination of the author is inspiring)
4) Murder of Roger Ackroyd (Fiction; best Agatha Christie novel ever)
5) Norwegian Wood (Fiction)
