There is nothing wrong in someone wanting to protect their existing culture. There is beauty in preserving an inherent culture, by opening it to everyone it would go away. This guy is using caste card to embarrass them. We all know what happens when we let migrants in to your home too much. It's the same everywhere, first they go and take the local set up for granted. Don't learn their language, don't try to be part of it. Won't even care when the local culture disappears, the moment a local objects to it, they go to Twitter and start this randi rona.
No one does caste discrimination anymore. But caste or otherwise, food language and behavior defines boundaries, irrespective of caste those should be respected
So you would advocate for gujju only societies? How about cities and state, or country? Where do you draw the line when it comes to preserving "culture"?
Because by your logic no Muslims or any other religion should be living in Gujarat simply because it's a Gujarati majority state.
If the society is formed by them, then it's up to them.
New societies get created right? Let them move there. And there are plenty where this concept of preservation doesnt exists. Let him scout that. Why keen on disrupting a well knit one.
Multiculturalism doesn't necessarily equate to have a mixed culture within your family. Besides Muslims enforce this even more strictly within their cohorts.
I can vouch for Anirudh personally. I have known him for years. Very nice and gentle person. He has mentored a lot of juniors at JPMorgan and helped in their careers.
