Career Switch from Social Sector

Hi, so I graduated two years back with a bachelor's in management studies (bba basically) but I was hell-bent on entering the development (social) sector for work which I eventually did a few months after graduating but unfortunately things didn't work out for me and so I chose to finally leave the sector due to the meagre salaries being provided. I've been working as a copywriter for the past 5 months since I was not able to get any calls from other industries as they deemed my social sector exp irrelevant. Turns out that even the ad industry is a low-paying one, so I have decided to try for Product Management roles since the responsibilities align with my interest and the pay is great. But as I do not have a tech degree or exp, is it even possible to enter the industry? Is there any way to leverage my social sector experience since a prerequisite for the social sector is to be able to empathise with the beneficiaries which is akin to understanding the pain point of users in corporate?

By social sector what exactly do you mean? I'm a bms grad too. (It's better than bba tho)
Depends tbh, do you have good experience in internships? If not, your best bet is to participate in a lot of teardowns, develop a good portfolio, might help in shortlists. Pms/mgmt consults prefer ppl who have built something of their own. Try to reflect that in your cv. A blog, yt channel or anything

So I have worked in the education domain specifically. I have two good internship experiences. So at my first job, I did lead the design and implementation of a fundraising program that brought public and private high school students together to co-learn. That was a big achievement for me. PMs look primarily for those with a tech background right, so is it even possible to enter the industry without that background?

Nice. You lead something and you brought results. That would help you in your pm journey.
Regarding tech bg, you would see everywhere that it is not a restriction but I believe it is. You need a basic tech understanding of how system, apis etc work. Def entering into startups in the social sector is a good bet. But traditional companies like Microsoft without an MBA is a long shot. Just what I observed, I searched for apm roles too. I am not a pm, I am in product marketing

Don't . Unless you don't care about money.
