In a country of 140 crore people, only 6.77 crore file taxes, out of which only 20 lakh people pay taxes with income over 20 lakh. 

The income tax data collected shows only 1.7 lakh people reporting income of more than Rs 1 crore in a year.

 Yet luxury brands like BMW, Jaguar, Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, and Maserati sell almost 35,000 cars every year. 

Also, 45 lakh people have incomes above Rs 10 lakh, but 25 lakh cars are bought every year. That only shows that tax evasion is soaring.

Before I start my ranting, I am happy for Anant getting married and having the fun of his life. I hope and pray for him to have a happy life. 

I have the following concerns 
1. Excessive media and PR coverage all events 
2. Deliberate flooding of content trying to set narratives for Anant’s generosity in building a zoo in a geographically irrelevant area and abusing animals by putting them in a zoo with adverse climate 
3. Excessive wedding events including Rihanna, beiber etc which could have a been private events 

This just makes me wonder, if this is the beginning of the fall of Mukesh Ambani. In south India, showing off wealth in a very abrasive public manner is considered to bring ill will and downfall. 

I wonder why the wedding couldn’t have been a private event for all their invitees. I don’t intend to morally police or demean their celebrations. 

Anyways, maybe I’m just too poor to comprehend the richest man of India.

This should help everyone understand the true picture of income brackets Indians fall in, where do viners belong?

Whenever I read foreign media outlets, India is the new Asian Tiger that will outpace most emerging economies in growth. But Indian media and Indian people act like India is the worst place to be.

The dichotomy is extremely confusing. Why is it that foreign media coverage on our economy is more favourable than our own hopes and aspirations from this country?

PS: I am really big on Indian Exceptionalism, the belief that India's economic development and trajectory are unique or exceptional compared to other nations, driven by our large and diverse population, thriving middle class, our entrepreneurial spirit, and the emphasis on technology and innovation.

Why do Indians hate India?

Lack of opportunities, too much competition and no support from government (unless you know someone who knows someone) 
  
 It is just not India, you speak with natives of other countries they will not paint rosy pictures. Happiest country Finland has such gloom in population and they accept it
