Chief of Staff is like the Badi Bahu (eldest daughter-in-law), expected to fix 3 decades of shit work culture One of my bosses introduced me as "She follows me wherever I go" Am I the Hutch dog?! (If you don't know Hutch dog, you are way too young) It can be a rewarding role only if you know how to set firm boundaries; otherwise, people gonna take advantage of you.

I would like to say that Indian firms have made a joke out of critical titles such as Chief of Staff! 🤷‍♂️ In big tech; CoS is an extremely critical & cutthroat leadership role, equivalent to a Sr. Director but here anyone can be CoS at 4-5 yoe. 😅 Recently a similar folks applied for the role of L8 & recruiter pointed out that he is CoS & graduated in 2018. What do you think?

What is the ballpark compensation range for the role of the founder's/ceo's office in seed and series afunded startup?

What does someone who is Chief of staff actually do ? Why do early stage startups look at hiring for these roles ?
