Clout chasers: Never letting a crisis go to waste
Imagine getting laid off and being subjected to a free financial planning lesson regurgitated over multiple clout-chasing accounts. If they really care enough, why not use that clout to refer folks in need of jobs?
1. What clout do you think he's going to get out of that post?
2. That's actually sound advice imo
Fair enough but
1. Layoffs seems to be one of the most popular topics going around so perhaps one feels a great need to say something in public about it, even if just out of FOMO.
2. Great financial advice irrespective of any context but I've seen this same post copied verbatim across multiple accounts. I cannot make sense of it as to why they do so.
1. Based on that logic, everyone who posts their opinion is a clout chaser?
2. So what if it's copied? Don't see anyone going around calling out people sending WhatsApp forwards

Is he wrong here? He's just saying to maintain a 6 months runaway and not advising any kind of business, sponsorship etc here
If any grapeviner were to say it on a post for Paytm layoffs, then it would have been sensible and not cringe?
This is not even his own words. He copied it from Twitter. Dumb fucks

He is HR. Their entire life is a copy.
1) how do they know all 1000 families are not having a happy new year. Employees would've had some advanced notice, some severance settlement would've been given, the community inside the company does help in getting new positions elsewhere, some might have hated the job and might have felt relieved that they're getting to try something new without having ownership of leaving the company themselves. For a few/many it could be one or many of these reasons. How does one quantify all 1k will be having a sad life altogether.
Imo, It's like a blanket imposition of conclusions to all 1000 just to garner sympathetic engagement along with riding the wave of trending topics on "layoffs".
Do they read the whole story before posting or just giving LinkedIn posts based after reading just the headline?
2) this is sound advice.
