Hey all, I'm a Commerce final year student. I have a decent amount of knowledge in Finance however I wanted to learn more about Coding in Python for Finance. I'm hearing quite frequently now that Python is a desired skill and could be used to automate tasks so thought I might as well work on that.

Just wanted to know if Python is the preferred language that I should be going with and also if there are any resources that I could refer to, that'd be great!

Keep in mind please I'm an absolute beginner, with no knowledge of coding whatsoever.

In which world do cloud platform engineers do coding. I have come across many profiles which need expertise in cloud platforms like compute, networking , security , devops , terraform which is fine. But who did development for 2 or more years and became cloud engineers .Do HRs of these companies are delusional ?? 

If coding then what level of coding is required , do I need to expertise in DSA kind of stuffs or just intermediate python knowledge and what kind of programming questions should I expect.?

I had seen a post on GV about which languages and tools should a non-techie learn, but any thoughts on where to learn them from? Is LinkedIn Learning any good? Just like 99% of Indians, I am looking for value-for-money app / subscription. If it is a wider subscription, might use it for other courses as well, so all kinds of suggestions are welcome!

I have read about different jobs in first year and now I am getting really interested in finance. 
I have no interest in core engineering and tech and Consulting is difficult to get into right after undergraduate.
But I am feeling really under confidence to jump into it , I feel I am making a wrong decision. 
I have seen people who did only finance related internships in their engineering but they are from IITs .
Any engineer who switched to finance here can share your experience ?

Hi!

I'm a CA Inter pass out with about 7 years work ex. 
I have worked in fields such as Accounting, Audit, Taxation, Compliance and Reporting. 

And i for a fair fact also believe i have a thing for Data analytics. 
I get too excited when i have to work with large chunks of data on a spreadsheet to formulate results out of it. 

I want to get into Data Analytics. 
How do I go about it ? 
I have been learning R and Python at a slow pace.
