Coding languages

First year college student enrolled in a Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) degree in a Tier 2 college. Talked to a few engineers living in my PG. They said to learn Java and DSA 'cause they are evergreen fields. Python is being taught in college since it is used more in data science. What would you suggest?

I'm a b sc graduate. I'm currently working in a company for 2.52LPA. In- hand is literally 17.2k. I completed two years in Feb 2024. Now I have 2 YOE but no proper skill, with no proper working experience. I going nowhere staying here in the current company. Should I resign now and upskill or Should I upskill,get another offer and then resign. Please pour your suggestions. Also, please tell which technology can I pick and start learning. I strongly feel like it's now or never.

I am currently in a company with 8.55 lpa ctc ( just graduated this year btech cse) . We do python databricks also sql server and IICS .( basically data engineering ) . I don't want to do data engineering. I want to learn something else which is exciting and will give me more pay . So now I am learning Golang but stackoverflow survey says that zig language pays the highest ( quite strange ) . So I want to ask Industry experts what is the hot tech right now , what should I learn which is interesting as well as pays more ?

I am actually a nodejs developer 2 yoe . I feel that Javascript is not sort of ideal language to learn and practices dsa and competitive programming. Except Javascript, I am not good in any pgm language. Can anyone guide me which language I shall choose... My thoughts are like 1. C++ :- most preferred language for dsa and cp but has almost no application in majority of Indian IT industry. Learning c++ would mean learning it only for dsa and no other application. 2. Python :- Has good application in industry but not sure about anything else. Heard that there are complex data structures pre built so not an idea choice. 3.Java :- Very much becoming sort of legacy language, too many fremworks etc and not to mention I scored 40% in java in my college so totally abhoring it. Please guys, give me suggestions and help me.. I have around 8 months to learn language and practice dsa, cp and all

Thinking of picking up a new language to learn this weekend, I know C++/Python/Java. Which one should I pick up?

According to you which foreign language should one learn for future job opportunities or which foreign language is in demand right now or will be in demand in future?

I wanted to start learning a new programming language which is trending as of now and become proficient in that one like building projects etc Then get a high paid job. Also I want to sustain there. Any courses? What is road map? I already have 9+ years in IT industry currently working as Netsuite consultant. Please advise folks.

I’m a college grad from IIT in CSE. I haven’t done any competitive coding or any proper coding during my college days for that matter. I have lost confidence in myself for some reason. I had taken up a business job but left it in a few months because I thought I could do better. I want to do competitive coding but as soon as I open my laptop, anxiety kicks in. I need guidance on how to proceed and what recourses should I use. I don’t want to waste my degree as I feel I can do better than my previous job. Please help me on fighting my demons.

I don't know c/c++ or even java . Basically any such language which deals with pointers and all. I practice dsa in Javascript. Have worked on mern till now and want to aim for faang level companies.I even planntonlearm golang next. I want to ask if shall I learn c c++ etc or continue on my path.
