Cold mailing/message

Please suggest some good method for cold mailing/message to join a startup or a firm. Have reached out over mail to multiple folks but no success in converting into calls. Appreciate any suggestion or advice.

The nature of cold emailing /messaging is such that it's like a shot in the dark - it can be as low as 1 in 50 to 100

Sharing some tips that helped me -

  1. Make sure your emails / messages are professional. Nobody is likely to respond to a poorly worded email

  2. Helps if you can reach out to someone who has a common connect with you - response rate gets much higher if you're reaching out to someone from your school /college / prev work place etc. Even if the person is not at a super senior post, they can help you get a foot in the door

  3. If you have nothing in common, it can sometimes help to write a little about why you're passionate about the start up or firm. Doing a little bit of research and giving a strong reason for why you want to be part of the team, can help you stick out

If you can offer specific expertise or help that you think would really help the company, worth mentioning that to pique their interest

Give me your best strategies for job hunting?

I’m dumbfounded when the best piece of advice I hear is that its a numbers game and probability is supreme. There’s got to be a strategy that one applies to shortlist from the ocean of offers out there.
