So, I completed my graduation in 2023 with a bachelor's in technology. I was placed in Capgemini on campus in September 2022. Have a letter of intent with me. Around  200 people  got placed. And from December-January 2024, my batchmates have started getting onboarding mail. It's just that i don't  want to wait any longer since i have given my most of the time waiting.  I would appreciate it if you guys share some 3rd party recruitment companies in IT field such as software engineering role and full stack developer roles.

I'm currently in the Junior year of my college and I've received an internship offer as a SDE from one of the respected companies(hasn't laid off anyone yet). Since 2024 is the year I graduate, I was wondering what the scenario might be according to the people senior to me. Will we be a victim to the situation as well! The terror is for real :/

I'm a '25 batch student and it's frustrating to see tech companies are mentioning "for 2023/2024 batch students only" in JD. Don't they wanna have a full time job rather than your 6 month internship after completing their course??

Can someone please explain why companies are still looking for 2023 grads for internships rather than 2024 & 25

I am a 2024 graduate and I got an oncampus placement in media.net in December 2023 and initially my date of joining was july 2024.

A month ago I got call from there HR that my joining date is postponed to August 2024.

Now today , they call us and inform that the date of joining is further postponed to 6th Jaunuary 2025 . 

What are we supposed to do in this scenario?

If anyone has any openings please let me know.

So just finished my graduation I thought I'll cry about not having a job but I got a freelancing contract as a technical trainer.

I want to become a software engineer, the current contract pays we somewhat 40-50k pm but work is hectic as I need to put a lot of physical labour,
But the reason I choose this 1. Current market 2. I didn't want to sit unemployed as personal situation is not that good.

So what should I do? Like continue the same and I'm sure they will pay more cuz I got to from the manager that I have a good explanation skills or try to go get another work even it's paying very less.

The reason I'm asking strangers on the net is bcz it's so complicated that I can't even tell my parents about it....

So guys please if you have a suggestion or personal opinion feel free to give.

Publicis sapient is delaying their new employees to join office, whom they selected on - campus last year . Earlier they provided only letter of intent , now they are not providing offer letters.

Why are recruiters looking for immediate joiners?
I seriously, respectfully, want to understand why is this rule? Even the company you are hiring for has 60 days notice period or even more.
In todays market nobody wants to resign without an offer. 
People having 60 days( or 90 days) notice period, what should they actually do.

Precisely. Also if they meet someone who is an immediate joiner, first question they ask if why did you leave your job without another offer! I mean do you have to pay my bills or rent? Your role is just to match if the candidate fits the job profile and forward their resume. Never understood this outdated thinking that if someone is not working currently, there is something wrong with them. Maybe they have well off parents?? But no everyone is assumed living paycheck to paycheck

End of last year I was ‘selected’ through campus placements at Accenture. I had recieved a confirmation letter and they got my location preference and documents.

Now it is going to be almost a year but I’m still yet to receive an offer letter.

Yesterday I was scrolling through Instagram reels when I came across another individual sharing a similar story. Many people in the comment section also voiced similar issues. 

Can anyone working at Accenture find out the reason behind this and help solve this issue for me personally?

Talked to the son of my Dad's friend recently. Brilliant kid has a good GPA from IIIT-H + 2 research internships and 1 summer internship at good companies. He still can't find a "good" company to get into. 
(Side Note: "good" implies a high paying job relative to last couple of years)

Apparently, most of his friends in other colleges are in the same boat. Massive pay correction has happened.

The undergoing rationale is that companies hired Class of 2022 with no restraint because the demand was really strong during their placement season in 2021. This appears to be directly correlated with quantitative easing in the US and a low interest rate environment that was conducive to fundraising for several Series A+ startups.

By the time Class of 2022 entered the market, everything changed and they felt some short term change. However, Class of 2023 is having a much tougher time. They are shoved into the job market in a time where demand is low and they are competing with kids who graduated last year. 

Ongoing consensus appears to be that a huge chunk of their batchmates are going to get their Masters abroad. Their hope is that by the time they graduate out of grad school, the economy will pick up and demand will be strong while they're poised to take advantage of that with bump up credentials.

Unfortunately, this also implies that many of them will end up in the CPT-OPT-H1B-Green Card hell.

This is really a tough spot to be in.

They have deferred the dates to God knows which date by estimating it to the last quarter of the year .
The offer letter was sent the previous year a day after the interviews after 1 year they are letting us know about the date being deferred .
They should have informed us earlier now there's no chance to sit back in placements.

My on campus job offer got deferred to 2024 with no exact month or date given. I was interning at a company and now am planning to join as FTE here till that job arrives. The off campus offer is ok ok, I do not enjoy it but am doing it to prevent resume gap and earn some money.

I have plan to switch to the on campus job in 2024 when it arrives by resigning at the current company. I am worried if it will create any problem? Can the on campus job offer be revoked? Any issue with the pf account transfer? 

Sitting idle and waiting for next year does not seem sensible to me. Please let me know your thoughts.
