Confuse about career ?

Hi, I am currently working as a graphic designer at a company in Bengaluru It is my first job, and I a learning a lot from there but web development is what gives me that kick. Right now I am 21 and money is not an important factor for me but after 3 to 5 it will be and I don't see getting a good salary where I am currently working. It's been 7 months I haven't received a single increment whereas my responsibility has been increasing significantly. I have been coding for almost a year and still working on it after work. Right now I am very confused should I devote my time completely to coding, I am not from an engineering background does it make it harder to get job in that field.

Yes, without engineering background, it will surly be difficult to get in. There are already enough jobless engineers around waiting to get a job. But there are several cases of non-Engineering folks to making their way into tech field. So don’t lose hope, keep working, keep learning. May be start picking freelancing projects on freelancer sites. And connect to similar folks from non-Engineering backgrounds. They may be able to guide better
