Should a senior employee be counting work hours?
I am one of the top people pay wise in my team but I don’t want to put in crazy work hours… like I earlier wanted to when I was in my 20s. Am I wrong?
You are just in a wrong team or wrong organisation. Meetings should not take more than 20-30% of your time on average
A couple of my cousins work at big orgs. Most of the days, ~ half of their time is spent on meetings.
No neither in the wrong team nor in the wrong organisation. Just in a position of responsibility. That's why asking others, especially senior folks who have much more work, how do they get any of their tasks done.
