Decreasing increment%

For the first time in these many years, i have got a hike of only 7%, the reason stated is on going concerns in US market. But it is very difficult to digest the same as 2 years prior i got a hike of 26% and now only 7%. I feel being broke as giving an organisation your 5 years of handwork, 7% is nothing. Has anyone else faced this in 2023 ?

It would totally depend on what your existing salary is.

If it is 15L then it makes sense If someone is earning 50L and complaining about 7% increment then God save this country

Better 7% than being laid off. Times are strange. Better to just wait this out. Also expecting 26% every year is irrational.

Are you delusional? And are you really with Amazon? And if yes, Amazon - you guys put candidates thru a dozen rounds and this is the crap that you hire?

Your company just laid of thousands... your company's peer group is either laying off or in the process of laying off...

1 outta every 4-5 years is gonna be a bumper year...and 1 every 4-5 years is gonna be a disaster year...

It's across the board. Increment ranges for Amazon India afaik were 4-14% (L4 12% exceeds was mine)

Hopefully next year will be better but yeah that's just the conditions right now

Increment this year?

Since we are seeing a lot of layoffs, a lot of companies are using this as an excuse to provide less increment this year. Interested to know what sort of increments are you’ll getting this year and how much did you get last year?

2023 is a year of virtually no salary increments

Folks, I wanted to make a prediction that most of us pretty much know already

2023 our salaries haven’t grown at all. Across my group of friends at work and college, the average amount of increment I heard is close to 5%
