Devops job market

Guys, is it mandatory for SDES, to learn devops skill as well ? Saw a lot of guys in my circle is getting rejected becoz of lack of skill on devops though they are a coding rockstars. What's happening in job market ?

Any idea what's happening with DevOps demand? A few months back, in every job description, all companies wanted at least two hands-on experiences with DevOps technologies like Transform, Kubernetes, Ansible, GitHub, etc. But now, suddenly, it has stopped. Any suggestions why?

Been looking to switch but on one opening of devops/sre/cloud engineer role there are more than 1000 applicants. So according to all the seasoned DevOps/SRE/Cloud engineers out there, what would you suggest to stay unique in this field? Apart from constant learning obviously.

Hi I’m currently working support role with 2 years experience but now I have started to transition my carrier into devops role so as of now currently my devops learning’s are going on but I’m not sure how where will get this job role cuz of I’m lacking so information like how are expecting an employee to be to entry devops roles like what are areas I need to be strong where and does mandatory any certifications I required for this role.
