Nothing but a gratitude post for the amazing community of people i got introduced to thanks to this app.

I'm just a 22 yo kid new to all the corporate jargon of savings and investments and taxes and wlb and all of that stuff, and i believe this platform has helped me tremendously to gain knowledge of

- why we should have an emergency fund and how to build it. Really needed a perspective of how it should look like and GV gave me exactly that
- how to manage investments, I've started to earn a bit well recently so definitely a huge ups on the knowledge I got on investments here.
- how to become a better swe. Some amazing folks occasionally drop in some very rare tips, love to learn more and get an insight into how exp folks think and work.

and lots of other stuff such as which startups to be aware of having shite culture, good places to join, occasional memes and everything else.

Terrific product in the making, would love to see it scale even more in coming times.

I joined my current org right out of college and have been working here for 2+ years. I really like the company’s culture, openness while pay is also great as per my standards and needs.

I recently interviewed for a startup casually and got an offer as well. Now I’m in a dilemma whether I should join the new org or stay although the pay jump looks pretty decent to me. 

P.S. Not a brag post but genuinely looking for answers as I’m really out of touch with the industry and given the current recession, can’t really make up my mind.

@grapevine i guess there is some issue in messaging. If i send msg to someone i get notification and on checking that its my msg which i send it. I guess its emitting rather than broadcast.

Last month, someone on Grapevine commented with a cryptic message, revealing my workplace.
Scary part, I have not mentioned it anywhere on the internet. No one knows except my immediate family.
And then, they deleted the comment.

But I was frantic and scared, overanalyzing all the conversations where I may have overshared.
Was actively building my personal brand on LinkedIn and Twitter, but that came to a complete stop.
I reached out to Grapevine support, who, apart from providing support, taught me a new Gen Z word: 'doxxing' (yeah, call me a boomer)

I did find the leak in my 'anonymous' plan - I was hiring writers and had spoken with three who reached out through Grapevine.

Now, can we get to the good part?
A month later, I have spoken to more than double that number. Not hiring now, but conceptualizing ideas.
I have a fitness buddy (who works out and I cheer), working on business ideas that started right here, and I'm looking forward to meeting more people (and probably grabbing some gigs).

I am finally enjoying being on Grapevine, not worried about hiding my identity with Biryani.

Hey fellas, I'm looking to start preparing for admissions for Fall'25 but quite confused where / how to start. A little bit about myself 
I did my undergrad from a foreign University (in Aus) on a scholarship and majored in computer science. Graduated back in 2021 with a gpa of 3.39/4.0 and had been working as a backend/ML engineer since then. Although I mostly work with backend, I've some contributions around ML mostly in Fintech and agritech side.

I'm looking to pursue my master's around ML or AI to develop a niche and get back into industry afterwards (most of the orgs require you to have a master's with extensive work experience, one of the major reason I wish to pursue a postgrad). I have 2.5 yrs of work experience as of now and would be over 3 yrs and 8 months of work experience if I go for fall 25. Apart from this, I have a research paper yet to be published (submitted) around Neuromorphic Computing. 

I am honestly not very sure where to start, although I have a few unis shortlisted and they don't really require GRE scores and I might have an exempt from TOEFL as well so I might just be looking for SOPs and LORs apart from strengthing my profile more(or learning lang if applicable). I would be grateful if you all can help in letting me know how and where to start given the timeline.
