Saw an acquaintance using bumble. The men in  profiles literally look highly successful, From IIT, IIM, NIFT , Founder and what not.

It was really raining overqualified guys on the platform.

Felt like real waste for the first time and thought that hot shot guys like them couldnt land a date, a commoner is out of question.

What do you all say guys ???? That platform instantly makes me introspect where I failed in life.

I've spoken to a lot of founders who get 
- Resumes in their DM's 
- Follow up messages for job applications (God knows how 🫠) 
- Enquiries for FT positions 
- Get subtle questions to know if they are hiring 

Is this a very common thing amongst founders?

Are you a founder actively using dating apps?

Is it considered offensive?
Is it cheesy if I tell anyone that their new haircut looks pretty ? (It is what it is)

Where do you draw the line?

My take: It should sound modest and respectful given that its a work environment. But you never know when she might get triggered.

So, I've been advised by friends that the first easy step to weed out fake profiles(please don't take this personally- there are many) is to exchange LinkedIn profiles(I will be happy to reciprocate and share mine too), and even Instagram helps for a preliminary vibe check. 

I am looking to find the forever kind of love and then get married, so, even in general, it would help to understand what a person does, where he's studied etc. and in that regard some vague Hinge prompts don't help(if I was looking to casually date, perhaps, I'd care less. 😛)- LinkedIn aids easy elimination anyway since intellectual compatibility is key for me- I love what I do and want a partner who is just as ambitious, if not more. 

In the best interest of your time, I will also implore you to read through my dating goals- makes sense to connect further only if there's absolute alignment on that front.

So, let's start with exchanging LinkedIn and IG profiles and proceed to a more usual/chilled out flow of things from there?
