How do you compliment a colleague without sounding cheesy?
Is it considered offensive? Is it cheesy if I tell anyone that their new haircut looks pretty ? (It is what it is) Where do you draw the line? My take: It should sound modest and respectful given that its a work environment. But you never know when she might get triggered. Wierd rules.

There are other ways to ruin your life, but if you prefer false accusations on yourself then go ahead. You can decide for yourself.

Add layer/ pinch of cheerful humour undertone.
Do this ONLY if she is comfortable talking to you, and you have interacted with her in past on work topics.

@Sapthinker its a non-bailable offence FYI π
A colleague complimented me without hesitation. I wish to have the same courage as her some day.
