Grapevine, once a platform only for guys has a healthy number of female members now. 
I know this because after having discussion with several people in the comments section I would often find out their gender. Most would reveal they're male. But these days I have had good discussions with female members here as well. This is good for the community.

We all know that social media has now become an information overload. Might happen same with Grapevine. I believe the only way to make it simple and meaningful is to limit the user generated content. 

I'm working on an app with Grapevine like company level communities:
- it'll have app generated polls which are mostly positive feedback or just fun compliments
- users can pick their coworkers in a poll to give them that compliment
- the sender of the compliment will remain ANONYMOUS 

I think this can help some of us to get the much needed good things to hear at our workplace. Can help build a better, fun and positive culture at the org level as well. 

What do you guys think? Does it sound good to any of you to have something like this?

I can't help thank you guys enough for helping me get though the tough times and dealing with the shame and shock.

I did end up taking taking the vacation, though I did spend sometime out out it interviewing. I'd only told my fiance about the layoff and she was understanding and supportive 🥹. To the rest of the families I just told them I'm interviewing since I got good reachouts.

I'm thankful to everyone who reached out to me on my post and for the pings with opportunities.

Did end up taking up an offer from one of the reachouts.
