We spend hours discussing which shitty startup raised what, and how to turn this platform into a solicitation funnel for incels.

And I find people here having "great" opinions about doctors and how they are morally corrupt.

But no discussion at all about safety, workplace issues and struggles they face..

Is there any one else who feels India doesn't have good doctors anymore. I have seen some great hospitals for orthopaedic surgeon and none of them able to treat my knee pain.
Whenever I visited any doctor either they pick up phone call of their friends in mid consultation or just type the medicines name or irrevelant tests. 
Now I feel like I can't trust any doctor in India. 
Very less portion of good doctors remaining here.
Did anyone of you faced bad thing in hospital for you or your parents.

Grapevine is a great forum to reach out to people for advice and help. Doctors can help people alleviate their anxiety by providing pointers and NOT medical advice. It’d be a good intro about the doctor to the patient as well

I have a friends who are doctors. When I met them yesterday, I brought up Grapevine somehow. Aftee going through they app, they wish they had something like this.
Can we add sections/communities for other sectors?

Is Grapevine only for Tech & IT Folks?

Now that you brought up doctors, I sort of realise that professions outside of IT/Tech would have a tough time understanding this.

I’m a surgeon. I’d like to think that I’m resilient and well adjusted, having gone through medical school and rigorous surgical training. I’ve been a doctor for 13 years and much of that period has been spent training to be as good a surgeon as I could ever be. I have great family support, a physician wife who understands my work and I’ve never been diagnosed with a mental illness.

The suicide death of Dr Andrew Bryant, a Brisbane gastroenterologist last week hit a raw nerve. His wife wrote this honest and courageous letter.

Have people stooped so low that we are not talking about the what happened to the individual to take such a step and educating people about stress and mental health rather we are gonna cry that we work more and no one is grateful for them

1. You are building a software that otherwise could be built by a 12 year old kid, if given proper training.
2. You cannot code if I cut off google, stackoverflow & related websites.
3. You are just concerned about producing the output quickly because a. your work is time bound, b. you want to stand out from others.
4. You attend countless meetings that carry no value, thanks to Agile.
5. 10 people write code for the same software which otherwise could have been written by 1 person.
6. You write pages of documents just because you are expected to write for the team, compliance & stuff.
7. You don’t care about non-functional requirements as nobody asked for it.
8. You are spending hours together in coding a simple thing & you are branded a hard-worker.
9. Or you don’t spend much time in coding because you impress people with tech jargons that you learnt recently. You are branded a smart-worker.
10. The code you write will be completely rewritten in next 3-4 years just to catch up with the industry trends.
11. Your only goal is to earn loads of money which otherwise could not be earned in other engineering fields. That’s one of the reasons why you are on grapevine.

Prove me wrong if you can, by commenting your opinion.

Context: Took my parent for a Piles checkup as the issue was flaring up. The first thing they checked was my insurance coverage details. The consulting doctor (more of a quack) recommended immediate surgery as 'it may lead to much greater complication if left untreated'. Inwas ready to go for it but my spouse recommended we see more doctors. Both the other doctors (very reputed) said this doesnt need a surgery and that my parent would need some rest and palliative care and that it would be ok in a few weeks. This is what exactly happened.
Funny part - this was two years ago, but since my number was the registered number, I still get periodic calls asking me if I had decided to go ahead with the surgery and that Piles can only be managed with a surgery.
The founder in any case, from his prolific Linkedin usage, seems like a righteous jerk who would rather believe that employees should not be expect compensation but be as loyal as dogs.

Some founders are so toxic that their business outcomes can be very well predicted. As expected, Pristyn is showing its real colors. 

If you don’t know, the guy in-between is famous worldwide(saw it floating on Blind, Reddit) for his hiring tips ;)

Looks like “Harsh Hiring tips” aren’t working
