Does CGPA matter after 1/2 yoe? (Not a stupid Q)
I'm currently a final year student at tier-1 clg in Bangaluru. I have been placed at a company which offers 15 base pay, no stocks, 19.63ctc, I had 8 GPA when I gave the interview. This sem(7th) is completely fu**d up results to a cumulative GPA of 7.2 already, it can max utmost to 7.4 by the end of the degree if it does :(. I'm considering to change my current company after 1/2 years, will my cgpa pose any bad affect on it?
Does your grade in 10th matter when selecting college? No? Same here
In the 1st round of technical interview, the first question I was asked was "isn't 8.01 a too low cgpa" by the interviewer. Except this Q, everything went well, I was qualified for the 2nd round thankfully.
This incident got me to think if the GPA affects if an individual switches within 1/1.5 yoe.
Wow, that interviewer was on something. This is not common;
You can avoid putting it on resume now, just tier 1 name should be enough

0.5 years work exp is a bigger red flag then your cgpa. HR will eat your ass on why you are leaving after only 6 months

Just a little advice, please use OR when you want yo signal "1 or 2 YOE".
1/2 YOE made me feel 0.5 YOE.
