Edge computing as a career

Hey community, I'm a Fresher just graduated from a reputed NIT in May, and I've been laid off because of "management reasons" from a reputed MNC. My role therein was of an ML Engineer. I have about 5 months of experience and I'm looking for a role in data analytics or something similar. I'm currently in Bengaluru but I'm open to relocate anywhere. If there is anything that can be done to help me please please let me know. I'm new to the tech industry and I really am lacking a mentor. My pay at the previous company was about 11.5 lpa. I wanted to share my journey and seek advice on a concern I've been facing. After completing my undergraduate studies, I worked for two years before deciding to pursue a Master's in Advanced Computer Science in the UK, focusing on a thesis in Machine Learning as a part of course. This decision was driven by my passion for the field and a desire to advance my knowledge and skills.However, due to some family issues, I had to return to India after completing my master's. Since then, I've been working in one of the MNCs here again on developement with very less package 12.50LPA.My overall IT expereicne was 4+ in IT. Despite my efforts and the advanced degree I hold, I've noticed that my master's qualification hasn't been given much consideration; instead, my career growth seems to be solely based on my experience. I'm beginning to wonder if my decision to pursue a master's abroad has been more of a hindrance than a help in the Indian job market. I would appreciate insights from this community on a few points: -->Is a Master's degree valued differently in India compared to other countries? -->How can I better leverage my advanced degree to benefit my career here? -->Have others faced similar challenges, and how did you navigate them? -->Do we really need to have better network in India to go to big positions? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Heyy fellow developers, It's 23 engineering graduate from top college in bengaluru. I got an internship+ fte offer from Australian based SaaS startup. For these 6 months I have given my day n night to this job only to get to know that due to no projects in pipeline they are not going to convert any of the interns to full time. Hi guys, I really need help, I recently got laid off as a Software Developer. I am a recent graduate from IIIT Gwalior. Am actively looking for an SDE Backend role. Have been applying everywhere with referrals, still no response. It's financially draining. Any leads would be appreciated.

How to learn and create projects in edge computing? What are good resources to learn it practically?

Completed 3 years at Cisco this month as a Hardware Engineer, joined straight out of a tier-2 college in 2021. Over my 3 years, what I've learnt is that Cisco is just riding on the monopoly it has in the networking space. There's basically no innovation when it comes to Router hardware, and we basically reuse existing designs, packaging them as "newer and better" products. No risk, no Ishq 🙁 There's absolutely zero investment in R&D, and any new feature that gets added to the products only comes in after one of the competitors launches them, keeping Cisco behind in the game. If Cisco keeps going like this, I'm sure the likes of Arista and Juniper will over us in the next couple of years, even with the new "Silicon One" that Cisco's promoting. PS: I can only speak from a Hardware PoV, and I'm not quite updated with what's going on with Cisco's SW offerings.

Hi, I am a postgraduate student (M.tech in electrical engineering).I have a undergraduate student (B.E/b.tech,)teaching experience of 6.5 year before marriage and after marriage I discontinued working due to location issues since 2.5 years. Now I want to restart my career in IT sector since many wfh roles are available . I am aspiring for data analyst roles. Trying to build required skills from YouTube and other available platforms. But since from non-IT background unable to have clarity whether I am on right approach, will I ever get job through this process or I am just wasting time. Pls guide me.

I have awork ex of 5 years and work with one of the best consumer tech startups in India making 32LPA and stocks. Lately, I feel that no matter how much you make here, the quality of life isn't all that great in Bangalore with the roads, pollution and what not. At this stage, I can't lose 2 years of my time to a masters degree and start afresh in the USA. At the same time, I'm not sure how to find job opportunities in US, EU or even SE Asia. Can anyone guide me on this?
