Employable Salary
In the chase for yearly hike and job switch we often ignore that beyond a certain salary bracket, chances slim down drastically to get everything in one workplace - good salary, good management, good culture and most importantly work that you like to do for 8 hours. If you are within the range for the number of years of experience, that's a good place to be in than be paid significantly above and not having opportunities later to move. What is the balance point?
Wrong take imo. If you're overpaid, stay there till you're not. You can move on once your experience or the market catches up
This is the right perspective towards jobs / roles.
Of the 4 variables you've mentioned you should strive for 3/4. You'll get 4/4 maybe once in your lifetime. If you are at 2/4 its time to get a new job.
There is no balance imo. Beyond a certain comp, the law of diminishing marginal utility kicks in. This largely depends on location, lifestyle & values. So different strokes.
