Feeling low becoz of my base CTC

I finally got a job offer after being jobless for around 7-8 months now. But the company is offering me the same CTC I was previously drawing. Reasons they sighted were that I've been jobless for a long period now. Is this normal? The company is good. Has a good set of customers. Has raised good funding recently. Team seems to be good as well. But its the CTC that I'm unsure about. What to do ?! P.S. my prev CTC was also entry level pay, say 40k in hand on avg after all deductions.

CTC 11LPA 3YOE Java developer, Fintech industry Graduated in electronics & communication engineering Fortune ~250 company product based I like my work, sort of a workaholic and kind of an over achiever (not trying to show off or be a narcissist). My boss literally told me to get an offer elsewhere and he will match it, he got me a promotion and a 40% hike. But I hardly find the motivation to search for jobs. I'm a good problem solver, but I find the whole interview and selection process in the IT industry very systematic.. they test on concepts which hardly get used at work on the ground level. If i grind for a couple of interviews I would certainly get a good offer and get retained at my company, but I don't find the motivation to job hunt and prepare for interviews. I participate in all my company's innovation initiatives and hackathons. Won a couple of them. I love sharing knowledge, and I don't limit myself to any role, I can work as a Product owner, tester, dev, support engineer, and often contribute to a lot of forums within my company. I'm not that into money. Everyone I say this too tells me to give my money to them if I don't want it. Lol. So I'm convinced that I'm not being practical.. Is something wrong with me? I agree that I deserve more, but should I do something about it? I also suppose that I'm in a sort of a comfort zone which is preventing me from preparing for interviews. Having almost 6yrs experience with single digit salary 😭 every friend and colleague are making a killing every recruiter I speak to just offer x% over last CTC but not the amount I ask stating budget issue. This is taking a toll on my mental health unable to focus on up skilling / working in current org plz help not sure what to do.

Hi, I am a regular IT guy, working as an SDE in a product-based company, making around 12 LPA with 2.5YOE and a background from a named Tier 1 (or Tier 2, depending on your perspective) private college. I am currently on a job hunt and max could leverage up to a 50% hike! I'm noticing many folks with base salaries ranging from 20 LPA - 25 LPA and overall CTCs in the range of 35 LPA - 40 LPA with the same 2-3 years of experience! I'm happy for them, but I'm wondering why I'm struggling to reach those levels despite my efforts. Have overall salary ranges increased? Am I stuck in the same salary bracket? It's frustrating and makes me feel inadequate at this stage of my career. Some might say that salary isn't everything, but personally, I have certain commitments that require a better-paying job. However, whenever I pursue opportunities, they seem just out of reach. Feeling low, hence felt like writing them down here. Thanks

2022 Grad here. I currently work as a Backend Engineer at a mid-stage AI startup in Chennai. I interned with them for close to a year before I was converted to a FTE. Current CTC -11.5 LPA Working as a full time employee since June 2022.

Hey peeps! Currently working in a Fintech company in Mumbai as a Frontend Engineer with over a year of experience. The current CTC is 7 LPA. I feel like the growth here is limited and from the past few months there's been a lot of micro-management. Even the CTC is not up to Mumbai's expense standard. I live in a soapbox and pay like 1/5 th of monthly salary. Standard of living has been decreasing while it should be opposite. + I've 6 days work week with 9 hours /day shift. Although I've decided to drop in papers soon, I'd like to hear your opinions. Brownie points if you refer me to some good early stage startup probably in BLR or Pune or Remote.

4Years of experience in Tech. Graduated from a Tier - II college and joined a started. Worked there for 2years and currently working in a Fintech startup in Bangalore for last 2years! Current Ctc: 27(fixed) + 1(bonus)
