Flipkart vs Goldman Sachs (6 YOE)
Received competing offers from the 2 companies and really confused about which one to join.
Numbers are in INR LPA.
Flipkart:
Fixed- 66
Bonus- 10
ESOPs- 42 (vests over 4 years and you are allowed to keep them even after resigning. Given a Flipkart IPO is inevitable in the next 10 years, these are not worthless ESOPs)
Goldman Sachs:
Fixed- 67
Bonus- 21 (This is the "whisper" bonus told by the HR and will not be mentioned on the offer letter. However, upon enquiring with my GS friends, it seems you almost always get this amount in the 1st year. 2nd year onwards the bonus is a function of GS + your performance and can be between 10-40%.)
Really confused as both the numbers seem similar to me in terms of comp. Other factors to consider:
1. GS is 5 days WFO
2. The role at GS is MLE (new for me) whereas it is DS at Flipkart in a field of my interest.
Would appreciate any pointers especially from folks at Flipkart and GS.

I think you should first check about the work in the team you are joining. Plus wlb if you care about it
