Folks who were in middle of interviews, but the position got filled/ put on hold, how did it go? Did the HR contact you again for similar position?

Hi, can anyone help how much time does Salesforce India takes to release the offer letter. I got verbal communication from HR about the selection for the role of MTS, but nothing after that. Workday also showing the application in consideration state. Can anyone please help?

I'll go first. I got a call for an APM role from one of the companies which did sound pretty sketchy and the recruiter was started bullying me into answering questions, when I asked to know more about the role. The recruiter was extremely unprofessional, and obviously the conversation was nowhere great. They however, did go ahead and sent me the JD and other links, etc to fill in and apply for the job. Mind you, I hadn't applied for the job. 🥲 It just was a pretty sour conversation which had left me in an uncertain situation. Any similar experiences?

Which company did you have the worst interview experience with?

I have been interviewing with Microsoft since late March 2024, possibly for an SE2 position. There is no HR involved. Engineers/Managers from Washington and Hyderabad call me or email me and schedule my interviews. Round 1 (Mar last week): Technical Round 2 (Apr first week): Technical Round 3 (Apr 2nd week): Technical Round 4 (Apr last week): HM Surpisingly, there is a round 5. Round 5 (May second week): Technical/HM My 5th interviewer said that there is going to be a 6th round of interview as well, by the manager of 5th interviewer. He also said, "Hoping that we will work together soon." As of the date of writing this post, my 5th interview was almost 3 weeks ago. I asked my 5th interviewer for an update and I got a response saying: "Sorry for the delayed response. I was so busy with many work items. At the moment we are on hold and we will reach out to you once we have the confirmation." After my 3rd round of interview, there was a gap of 2 weeks as well, and upon aksing my 3rd round of interviewer about an update of my candidature, he told me something similar. It did upset me but I did have a 4th round as well. Given Microsoft is hiring a lot right now, I feel confused why my candidature is on hold. I feel very frustrated and desperate for the offer. Because I am new to this, I would appreciate if anyone here, can help me with their experience ,what could be going on? PS: All my interviewes were extreamly well.

Around a month ago, HR called to ask if I was interested in the APM role. After following up multiple times for the interview, they said the hiring manager didn't like your profile. After 2-3 weeks, different HR reached out, saying they want to conduct round - 1 for the same team. The interview happened, and I reached out to HR after 3-4 days for the next steps, but she kept cutting my calls and completely ghosted me. I reached out to another HR, and she said the feedback on the portal was that "experience is not enough." I was pretty disappointed as while conducting interviews, HRs reached out to me so many times, but they couldn't even send an automated email for feedback. But it didn't end there. The HR who ghosted me called again after a couple of weeks to schedule round 1 with another team. The interview went well, and the interviewer asked me about my availability for round 2 and when I could join them, etc., saying we would try to conduct the next round soon. When I reached out for feedback, HR kept saying I'll call you later. I'm busy right now, and then they ghosted me. After following up multiple times, she said the feedback wasn't positive. I hoped for round 2 here since the interviewer seemed convinced and contented with my profile. Now, just because I reached out 10s of times, they told me that I have been rejected! How much time does it take to send an automated email? :/

After 2 weeks and 4 rounds of interviews, the HR informed me on Friday that I’ve cleared the last round and have been selected. S/he asked me to share some documents and told offer letter will be shared in 2 days. I waited for 2 days and called the HR today. Here’s the interesting thing, on calling s/he didn’t recognise me first and asked me which department I’m from, then asked to wait 15 minutes for callback as s/he was on break. Again waited for more than an hour and called back but this time s/he didn’t pick up the call. My question is should I be worried? Move on or am I being impatient? Just some more info - I don’t have any other offer in hand and the CTC I’ve asked for 100% of previous (last appraisal in 2021) although it’s still less than what is being offered for senior role in current market scenario in Bengaluru. Could this be the reason? Your thoughts, please.
