Interviewer asked me what my hobbies are, I said I like to run He replies “Isn’t your BMI high?”

I had a very healthy BMI and this was a Zoom interview. Still think back to that. Ex Oyo guy who’d recently joined their team.

Airtel (dragged for their airtel tv n xtream app for 2 months, 4 interviews , assignments and what not then complete ghosting)

firework, snap, fb (no feedback after multiple stages of interviews, ghosting)

Zomato (guy kept asking sell me this pen, watch, phone, nahi bechna bc)

josh (thrice b/w ‘18-‘22 bsdk ceo bhi banaenge still won’t go)

The hiring manager loses his chain of thought.
We started the entire chinwag from my career transition to design & ended up in his love marriage, kids, property and leased cars when he was in U S the A fyi he was the only one who enjoyed the conversation.

Wipro, the guy started asking me questions from the word go, at one question, he asked me about reinforcement learning, i answered the question somehow and told him that I haven't worked on reinforcement learning. He said "ok, no problem". And then again another question from reinforcement learning, (a more in-depth question). I figured out that he knows nothing and just reading it from a script. I just gave him some garbage answer confidently and he accepted it. Later I found out Wipro uses some interview as a service agency for taking interviews.

NOW & ME Prior to the interview they told me to create a small app. They sent a very shitty figma link it was very unorganised and hard to understand. Any tech can be used eg- React, JS, Angular, React Native. I somehow put together the project and sent them. I made it using React.

After i submitted that project. They scheduled an interview and the guy that came asked whether i know React Native or not. I told him i know little bit of Native but if job/project will demand i am willing to learn it.

Dude's was like 'oh ok i dont have any more questions. If you have anything for me you can ask'. So i stared asking him some questions about the work culture and dude said you can ask that in the later rounds and said we are done and thanks for the interview. You will be updated about next rounds.

Later that week i got the rejection mail from them.

If they only wanted a React Native dev they could have mentioned in the job profile but they didn't. They even put the React native as project requirement at the last in the list of requirements.

Swiggy Sprinklr Apna Flipkart

PayTm. Applied for AVP role, they said they see me fit for VP role. Took a month to set up interview. Evaluated for Director role. Was told later that role is filled up

Paytm. Their interview process is quite unusual. They schedule each rounds with 2-3 weeks gap inbetween each round. Also they sent me an email that I got shortlisted and asked for my documents. It's been 2+ weeks and still they haven't released my offer letter despite multiple followups. Their interviews were also quite shabby where you don't feel like you're being tested for the role they are hiring.
