I asked a similar question on reddit previous year and people told me to go ahead with hourly charges instead of full. I still quoted a fair full price to the company and after the job was done I found that I had to work much more than expected.
Go with hourly rate and tell the client a rough time estimation and say it can decrease/increase as we move forward in the project. Make sure to convince him that you won't overcharge him/her and don't work on a price which you find is less
Basically write rough timelines and estimate time that you'd require in an excel
The cost? A fortune. The outcome? Mediocre at best. Hire a professional agency, not a jack-of-all-trades. Stop penny-pinching.
