Folks of Grapevine with experiences observing friends, co-workers, and yourself getting let go of my companies. Everyone around you says you should 'upskill' professionally, but every field, role, org has different definition of 'skill' that needs to be attained. Drop in the ways you've approached Upskilling that has been advised to you for remaining relevant. P.S. I'm building something that leaves no one behind in the age of AI, and this would help it tons

1. Figure out a mentor who you can look up to in your role ( could be inside or outside your company). You should periodically brainstorm with them and evaluate your career trajectory with your mentor to understand where you can go from here.
2. Reach out to folks who are doing great in your profession. Reach out to them and build genuine connections. Ask them what are they doing currently which helps them in their role. Ask them how they plan for upskilling in the future.
3. Take courses or build things that would require you to build and use the mental muscle for the skillsets you have identified in the above two steps.

Solid methods. This works well for Technical Professions. What about Non-Tech like Sales, HR, Operations, which are solely driven by one's social network's learning
