Hello all,

I started my career at the age of 26.i had my  back logs hence started late .my total yoe is 6 years.in which 5 yoe in service desk.i have not tried coding after my College and have backlogs in maths .I want to move out of the service desk.i am interested in infrastructure services.my age is 31 .I can learn quickly and adopt quickly to job.i can't make up my mind to sit study and move on . currently I offer a new role for ad and sccm support.my current package is 45000 take home at current job market what should I do.

I am currently working with a start-up from the last 2 years as a web developer angular+ dot net. My current CTC is 5LPA. Waiting for appraisal form last 1 year, and management has cleared that we do not expect a magical raise this time, I will hardly get 25 - 30% this time. Should I wait for 1 more year here( product is good and work culture is best). Or look for another opportunity. How much salary should I expect from outside? I have good knowledge and worked on various things frontend, backend, ci/cd.

Need Advice!!!

Been over a month I have been laid off. For the first time in almost 4 years I have had no work at all for over a month. Feels a bit good, a bit relaxed from the immense work pressure and toxicity but at the same time lot of pressure with regard to finances, as and more days are passing. Have been taking time out to upskill myself, applied to over 300+ jobs maybe by now. Got call backs from 10-12, interviewed with 5. None of them turned out to be positive yet. Lot of sympathy and empathised content goes on LinkedIn but reaching out to people, 1/15 may respond, putting a status, people just write CFBR mostly (hence I totally avoided that).

Any advice, tips, help would be appreciated.

Hi folks, tomorrow i have an interview for Associate software engineering- network automation development in 'Kindryll' , can anyone give some tips if anyone has attended or any sort of experience in in this company past experience, anything would be helpful.

I worked for the first 3 years of my career as an SDE at a bank. I was allocated to an internal tooling team which meant that I got no exposure to cloud technologies like AWS, architectures like microservices and frameworks like Spring Boot which are in high demand today. I wasn't even allowed a team change in that bank. To compensate for this lack of experience, I created a basic project from scratch involving these technologies. But still, my resume is not getting shortlisted at any premier company for SDE/SDE2 positions.

I would really appreciate if you guys could please suggest a way forward for me and help me out.

Hi all, I recently received an offer from a startup. They have included esops in that but the strike price will be the current price. Is that a common practice? I though the esops granted have a strike price of 0 or very close to that. 

If i take them at current price then I only make money from the next upwards valuation only.

I'm currently working on an SAP MM-based project. Despite talking with everyone who could assist me in securing a development role, I've been told that, as an ASE, I can't switch to development. I'm worried about my career because I've always wanted to move to the development side, but I've been given a functional role instead.

I'm considering enrolling in the Scaler Academy Software Development Course to transition to a development career. The course costs nearly 3.15 lakh. I would appreciate your thoughts on whether I should purchase the course.
Additionally, I would like to know the recent placement data for Scaler, as they are only promoting the placement data for the 2020-2021 batch, which was audited by KPMG. They haven't mentioned the recent placement statistics.

Please provide me with your valuable suggestions.

Right now I'm at the end of my 6th semester of engineering in IT, i am not interested in DSA and doing coding ( I like it to some extent). I don't know what I should do now where as I'm interested in job role like digital marketing and roles which are related to marketing ( currently I'm doing and internship in an startup where I have role of seo and digital marketing) and in future I want to go into business and entrepreneurship which is my fixed mindset. But for my placement I'm doubtful that i would go for the DSA stuff (I find interest in business analytics but i don't have those companies for on campus placement and I'm just starting to learn it) , can someone help me with this and guid me.

This aint about tech but I’m switching. As this is my first switch, a large part of my professional life was spent with good colleagues who were also freshers like me and they were god-sent. Even my seniors were great and I never felt that superior-inferior things. Now that I’m switching, I’m just feeling all alone again. I failed in my exams.for now I can't get any tier 1,2 collages.im 18.i don't want put a sob story cause I am the one responsible for it. I have been employed at a service-based company for the past 2.6 years. Recently, I have been assigned to a new project with a different team. However, my manager has been quite demanding and insistent on my physical presence in the office. Additionally, they expect me to participate in video calls for every meeting and ask detailed questions about my work, often focusing on minor details. Unfortunately, the tasks I am currently working on no longer bring me excitement. Moreover, my manager's authoritative behavior is not something I appreciate. I am starting to wonder if I am experiencing burnout, as I have never encountered these issues before. Is this a normal situation, or should I consider seeking a new opportunity? Other than these work-related challenges, everything else seems to be going well.

Well, I see no point in continuing my current job - it’s off no value add. There are few opportunities for BD or anything else. While it has been <6 months in the org, I will have to continue this for the foreseeable future. I am planning to go for my Master’s in FY25. Ideally, I wanted to work my current job for a year at least - but it’s pointless (have sought manager’s opinion and other colleagues thoughts too). So, in the short term, I have concluded it doesn’t make sense to wait further (given the timeline). 

Plus managing GRE prep with a demanding job while possible seems very tricky especially from a quality standpoint.

Problem: If I quit after working for just 6 months, justifying that on my profile seems tricky (while possible). 

Question; What bearing will this move have if I make it? And what kind  of implications if any could it have on my Masters application? 

Any advice on navigating this would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone, I am a 2023 graduate from tier 3 college currently working in a service based company but I am not really satisfied with it because I believe I could have grabbed better opportunities in campus placement but due to stupid rule of TPO they did not let me seat for further companies and I want to learn new technologies but I am not really getting opportunity here.
