What would be the best investment options for a Conservative spending style ? Assuming I'm 30 and have a package of 20 LPA. I prefer bulk investments where I don't have to look into the market conditions regularly to update my investments.

Hello good people of grapevine,

I have recently started my full-time job as a software engineer, and wanted to start my journey into investing.

After doing a bit of research, I feel SIPs in mutual funds is the way to go forward at this point. For now I want to start putting 20k into MF SIPs every month. I took a look at a few MFs which were very high risk but over a period of 3-5 years yielded great returns (50%) as well. While the low to moderate risk MFs yielded low returns (5%).

Though the risk is high, but seeing stable returns over a large period of time, how safe is it to invest in very high risk MFs and not incur losses?

Any other advice is also thoroughly appreciated

Looking for suggestions or recommendations for investing an amount of 20k per month. 
Note: This is not my total income. This is what I have to spare and live a comfortable life. Confused about going with mutual funds or SIPs or NPS or PPF or FDs to r RDs etc.

Need Investment advice in India for 20k per month

Hi guys, 
I have around 4L cash lying around which I wanted to invest. Currently, I think I am in a position to take maximum risks, and see where things go. I also haven’t redeemed the 1.5L tax deduction on Section 80c so PPF and ELSS are open as an investment opportunity. 

I was worried to invest in the current equity markets. Have just put in around 6.5L into Equities in December (Split equally amongst Large, Mid, Small and Flexi Cap) 

Needed advice on which seems a better option:
- Put 1.5L in PPF and the rest in Large Cap MFs since Large Caps haven’t peaked yet
- Distribute the 4L over the next year (~33k/month) and invest it in a SIP to account for market changes
- Put the entire amount into equities (1.5L ELSS, 2.5L Large Caps)

Also, needed advice if it’s better to look for a Real Estate or SGBs Investment to diversify risk? (<25 yo right now so can take a property around 40-50L to test the waters)

What are your views on the current market? I’m planning to continue investing a significant chunk (~50% salary) into SIPs all through. Should I reconsider?

Every month my salary gets credited I barely spend 20% of it the rest of it is just sitting around in my bank account it's already above 5L. I keep thinking of investing it in stocks/mf but it's a lot of work 😔

What should I do with my money

I don’t have much knowledge about investing, for now i have following investments

- 10 Lac in FD
- 5 Lac in stock where I have bought stocks of well known large cap company without any analysis assuming that it will grow in long term

Now I want to get serious about investment and want to do monthly SIP so seeking for suggestion on what I should do SIP ? For now I am thinking to do monthly SIP in Nifty 50

Hey! I have received 30k after completing a freelance project. Wanted to know where can I invest in?
I have few mutual funds running like UTI Nifty, Parag Parikh, Aditya Birla Sun Life and Nippon Smallcap. I can distribute 30k between all these 4 mutual funds.
Or I have also some 3 smallcases running and some shares of reliance and ITC. So, I can also invest this amount in these shares. What should be the best option?

What Mutual funds should I invest in?

One of my relatives wanted to invest in SiPs.

Asked my help coz am into direct stocks buying and USA market also. ( Made 10x in last 8y)

So, i checked his phone and got only Paytm and phonepe through which I could have subscribed sips.

But all of sudden I saw expenses like exit load and fund management 2% and 1% respectively.

So, i referred grow and alas! The same charge reduced to 0.XY % ( x and y = 0,1...9) 

Then I researched little bit and got him these fund's.

5000 per month and 40% in large cap. ( Long term 15-20y plan)

He can have moderate risk.( Got 3 kids, planning for their 20s)

Please suggest if all these funds are fine or need to change something

1. Is the index fund fine?

Where to invest Rs. 2 lacs right now?

We don’t know your risk profile, but your statement gave me a hint of conservative.  
  
 For a conservative investor in the current market situation, I will do 2 step investing. 
  
 1. Put 1.6/1.8L in arbitrage/liquid fund  
 2. Start monthly index investing with 20k 
  
 If I see 2.5% correction in index, I will move 60k in index from arbitrage/liquid. If index sees more than that, I will transfer rest of the amount to index.  
  
 The above method will preserve my capital & gains both.
