Google Recruiting Scene

I know 5 people who got reached out by Google recruiters and are currently in the process. Why sudden spike in hiring at Google just after layoff?

I’m not sure how to say this, I’m currently interviewing with Google India for L5 role and have one of the round scheduled next week. After yesterday’s layoff news, I checked with my recruiter and says we’re still on for next week’s interview. Can anyone in Google India share some insights about recent layoffs. Thanks

Is Google India still hiring and is it safe to consider joining Google now? A year or so ago I went through the hiring loop and was advised to try again after a year because my performance wasn’t at par with the level expected for my experience. Fast forward one year and everyone is laying off staff. I’ve now been contacted a couple of times by the same recruiter and am tempted to give it a shot. Would like to hear opinions on whether this is a good idea. I’m interviewing at L5, aiming to be leveller up to L6 if possible.

There is something wrong with Google india software engineer recruitments . Heard some of the recruitments are done under table dealings by recruiters

Hi Folks, I applied for L5 MLE at Google Banglore and completed my 3 Coding, 1 ML System Design and Googleyness & Leadership interview before mid-May. The recruiter communicated the feedback for each round as "GOOD", not revealing the Lean/Strong-Hire counts even after being asked, saying those are for internal only. For further process, the recruiter communicated that Team Matching could take time as the current openings already have candidates mapped for Team Matching. I haven't been scheduled for even 1 Team Matching call. And, on follow-ups, I get the answers "No new updates" or "Nothing so far". Is this expected, given BLIND is filled with posts reflecting Google is on a hiring spree in Banglore? Or is this a soft reject? Or, to a stretch, the hiring season at Google India is over with no new openings? A hiring freeze.

Hey, So I completed my prelims round @google , cleared it completed 3/5 and its been almost 10 days - haven't heard back from my recruiter. I have just one point of contact, so feeling kinda helpless as to whom I can reach out to. Like i followed up thrice now over a period of one week - very respectfully. I mean its my dream role and honestly, every day not getting any response is honestly painful - even If I didn't make it - At least I should hear back right? and I understand the number of applications must be extremely high - but still the process should be somewhat smooth right? Its Google after all. Any suggestions on how to tackle the above situation?

Good people of Grapevine! I finally got a referral for Google and have an interview with recruiter on Monday for an Analyst role with Google. Could anyone please help me get an idea around the interview process and what do they look for.

I am done with all technical rounds but HR is taking too long to respond with the results. It has been 2 weeks. What to do?

Today evening Google’s VP of Recruiting had an all hands call with global recruiting team to tell them that there’s more layoffs happening in recruiting and people will find out about it through emails in next couple of hours. Such a shitty time to be alive.
