Got an offer!! 6/6/6

I was laid off on 7th Sep and my garden leave was till 29th Sep. I got average severance package and I was in panic situation for almost 2 weeks. I gave interviews for 12 targeted position (luckily got till last rounds for all positions and got total 5 offers. 2 offers felt like being exploited, employers were milking my layoff situation and offered 10%-15%. I took a call to reject them and explore further. Got 3 offers in first week of Jan, these were worth considering. Yes I did wait for 4 months to see such favourable offers. One with 15% hile and relocation, second with 60k Euro and move to Europe and third offer with 100% hike with remote. It was a no brainer and I closed on the one with Remote and 100% hike. Dont just rush to close on anything which comes first, assess the future and close on the decent or best one according to ur needs. For those who were laid-off recently and looking for opportunities I would say keep faith market is opening and positions are getting listed. You will get something good soon.

About me: 2023 Graduate. I have been hunting for full time opportunities since 1 year. Call it a mix of sheer bad luck, bad decisions, over filtration, less CGPA, low demand high supply etc. I completed a 6 months offcampus internship starting from January. PPO wasn't offered even after good performance however extension was provided. I will say I have been choosy to get into Software Engineering roles only unless there is a >15 LPA CTC. One should gather multiple offers to keep themselves from becoming unemployed but in my case moodiness prevailed which shouldn't. I have knowledge in C++, Java, Python. Familiar with React JS, MongoDB and worked with projects involving MERN Stack. Furthermore, I also have projects in ML, DL, NLP (for reference I have had knowledge of GPT architecture since 2021 by going through the research papers) Finally here I am with an offer giving 10 CTC. Cannot disclose the name except that it is a Gurgaon based startup with a product + SaaS structure. How did I land it? NETWORKING (not the CS subject) One key thing people don't indulge is making use of their networks. Hell even your personal network like friends, cousins etc. The benefit of this your resume actually goes through a human HR's eyes than ATS or keyword filter picker. A lot of shenanigans are going currently against us and it is our duty only to get the job. Being picky while being incredibly risky helped me avoid a lot of the bullshit that other companies especially on campus ones have pulled. CGPA cuts, Gender Quota, Deferred joinings, offers revoked, non extension of PPOs by citing bad performance but actually not giving tasks, layoffs due to bad financials, extended internship, revised lower CTC, fake job posts etc have all happened. All of my nearly missed companies which I really wanted to go to have done such acts and I don't have respect for all of them (except Goldman Sachs, yet) Therefore, networking > job postings. Hi folks, I got laid off in Sept. since then looking for a Job. market is so scary. Few questions: 1. a lot of companies are hiring through crewscale, etc. they are offering low salary as per the role. are companies paying low salary to them or they are taking a big cut? do people treat them differently once they join a company via crewscale? 2. I am not able to get my resume shortlist for mncs. what to do now? recently my friend got a call from razorpay gehy were offering for sde role 15 lakh for 2 years experienced. they were paying 22 lakh for sde 1 last year. the role is not product engg or solution ennggg that they recently introduced for low salary. it was sde role. fat rhi h ab. kya kru?????? my exp: 2.5 backend

Finally got an offer after 6 months but should I take it? I'm a 2022 grad. Got an FTE offer from WITCH after completing their internship. I waited for them to onboard me after graduating, but after a few months, they revoked my offer. So, I started applying everywhere, grinded Leetcode & did some open-source contributions. After 6000 applications and 100 interviews, I finally got an offer today. 100% hike as compared to my previous FTE offer. It's from a small firm in Delhi, I've to relocate since it's WFO. Had a chat with the founder. He was a very nice guy & pretty frank. Said I would be working on their own product, so it won't be like working in WITCH (Client Projects) or FAANG (Latest Tech). I would've to take ownership of modules. Told me I should think about the offer & take a concerned decision. Role is FE (React). So, should I take their offer? I have 2 other interviews lined up this week. Both of them would be around 120% hike if I cleared them.

I recently got an offer from Dunzo so I resigned from my current company and was serving my notice period. 3 weeks after resigning , Dunzo called and rescinded the offer.

Hello guys; I have been actively applying to job/internship openings on LinkedIn (It might have reached 50+ by now) but what I get is either they ghost me, or reject me. There's only 1 or 2 companies where I actually received a response but even they ghosted me after submitting practice assignment. Also; the rejection mail of each company is the same so I am starting to think that most of the jobs are automated by bots or something. Can anyone suggest an active job search platform where employers post the role with the intention to hire employees, even look through the candidate's resume and respond instead of ghosting?

I was hiring for a web designer in last role. We had an internal referral, and I checked her portfolio before reaching out. She had multiple projects, worked with many customers across countries, the designs were fresh and inviting, no clutter. She was the one (for the role)! Exactly what we were looking for. I had a budget of 25-30LPA, had quoted 19-24 LPA (because well) Her expectations were 30-33 LPA Cut to, she was the only one till final round and they were processing her offer letter at 31LPA Find your star and make it shine bright!

Hi Grapeviners, I have ten years of work ex in performance marketing and CRM. I started job search actively from Feb 15 this year and landed first interview today. How bad is the market out there. I usually get hired with in 30 job applications, also I apply to the role only if 70% and above role match with my previous experience also use referrals when available. Context: 10.5 YOE, Marketing lead. I've been looking for a switch since September last year. I'd seen signs of maybe my role or the company itself folding very early and knew 'twas time to bolt. But it's not that easy. Back then - 1 year in a startup meant hey not bad, people still spoke to you and considered your profile. These days, they treat you like Ebola if you've not had your ass stuck in the same place for 3-5 years. Anyway, so the majority of my time searching for jobs was the shitty Easy Apply or IIMJOBS premium account route. Suprise suprise. It doesn't work. But hey I was still employed and not nearly as motivated as someone who's unemployed. Cut to layoffs: Got laid off with my whole team and a huge chunk of other leaders. My first layoff, felt hilariously like the last day of school. To the org's credit they gave us 3 month severance, leave encashments and extra months for those who'd been there for 2 years+. In hindsight hearing the horror stories of 2k severance from Byju's. I'm grateful for the nice golden parachute I got. I'll be honest, it contributed heavily to my mental stability. I had time, I had leverage, I didn't have to run for the first shitty opportunity that came my way. The How I did it (why you struggled through the above stream of consciousness) - Wrote to 159 founders with one pagers to 35 of them with ideas on how i'd lead their marketing function. 5 replies. 3 interviews. 2 offers - didn't take em cuz they were super early stage or diff cities. This is immediately in month 1 so I've already started feeling icky about not getting great brands to have in my set. - Easy Applied to 768 (I ran a Gmail search, this is a real number) jobs. 99% no responses or you've been rejected. -Kept changing one letter on my Naukri.com profile, got me 6 calls, 3 interviews and 1 conversion I think theres a word limit to posts 🥲 following up as comments below.
