HR asking infi docs before offer letter

I got through the interview process for a few companies for the lead PM role and what I am seeing is that they are asking for previous offer letter/appraisal letter, pay slip for 3months, other documents. Is it normal for companies to ask for these documents before sharing offer letter...

My cousin is joining this small (15 people) agency/startup and has been asked these IMO Previous employer's offer letter and payslips are kinda sus? Thoughts? P.S. Offer letter has still not been processed What should be shared and what not?

Doing my 1st switch .. some 15-20 documents asked by company before releasing the offer letter. Is it normal? Just wanted to make sure if I'm overthinking only

I cleared all 6 rounds of a PM interview with an Edtech startup. The HR asked for current offer letter, 2 references (current and previous manager), and a couple of other docs. Then ghosted me for 2 weeks. When I followed up, the HR said they are in-process of interviewing other candidates Is it normal to do this now a days? I understand the company wants to interview more people. But then why ask for any details from me till you are sure that you are going to give an offer

I have recently got offer letter from a company, however I have few queries or doubts with some terms written in it. Will it be alright if before signing the documents I send them a mail seeking clarification on those points??

I have cleared all technical rounds, on 12th June I had HR round also. HR asked me to share all past company release letters and graduation marksheets. I have shared all the documents. HR also confirmed my package over the teams call and assured that he would send the offer letter. But after that 6 days have passed, I have neither received any communication, nor have I received any offer letter. Typically how much time will they take to release the offer letter?

I recently interviewed at a large company. I applied by sending my resume to someone in my network who works there and they forwarded the resume to HR. After that I got a call from HR and they asked for my expected salary among other things to which I answered that I want a 40% hike. I cleared all technical interviews and after that I got a mail saying that they would like to offer me a full time role and asked some of my documents to prepare an offer. I was curious about them asking for documents without having an HR round first so I called the HR and asked some details about the job and she ensured that they can give me a 40% hike on base but not on TC so I assumed they will hike my base and keep the other components in a similar range to what I currently have. I send the documents and on the next day I get a call from HR asking about my expected compensation again, I then ask about their salary structure and they explain that it's all fixed. I was confused on what number to give them so I said that I wanted a 40% hike but since my TC consists of variable components and theirs don't, I would like to know what is the maximum salary they could give me to which the HR replied that they will let me know in a while. It's been more than 24 hours and I haven't heard back. I don't want to call the HR because that might make me look desperate and give them a reason to lowball me but I'm not sure what to do and am even more confused about what kind of process is being followed at this company.

Hi Fishes, My potential employer is asking for the previous company's offer letter and 3 month salary slips after all interviews. I'm not sure on providing my previous offer letter though, Can I say that I've signed an NDA or would that also need any documentation. Please provide some assistance on this.
