Hardware companies and software profile

Hey guys, so I have been interning at a company for the past 9 months. They have offered me a ppo and I will most likely accept it. But my interest lies in the ML field or some data fields such as data engineering. Can anyone advice me how do I go about it? Like should go for masters(my undergrad degree is not CS or some pheonix branch). Should I learn on my own and keep giving interview. Or should I take some experience in sde and then switch? Thanks in advanced

Currently I am in college 3rd year(EEE). Since there aren't really many jobs in EEE. I decided to pursue my carrier in software. So far I have learned full stack development and built some small websites to. Since the internship season is coming I have applied for a lot of postions on various websites but not really getting any replies. So my question is should i continue grinding the full stack devlopment even though competition is at all time high(saw 2000+ applications for 1 intern postion 🤡) and fear of AI(DEVIN) Study AI/Ml since it's the trending topic. But there aren't many postions jn india Learn web3(solana +rust). Many people are telling there is no future in it. But I saw some of my frnds printing money in this tech So senior software enginnering please 🙏 help your fellow junior

I graduated in 2021 and have worked in startups across EdTech, Cloud Communication, and currently in FinTech at a Series A startup. After 1.6 years in my first role, I pursued a 23% pay increase but faced a layoff after 10 months. Now, despite my experience, I'm finding it challenging to secure interview calls for an SDE 2 position. I currently work at a Series A startup where I joined after accepting a pay cut.(little above my first company ctc😢 and working for 7 months). My Job is really writing bunch of code but not designing or implementing any prominent systems as i am still SDE-1. I'm genuinely seeking your advice: 1️⃣ How do frequent job changes early in one's career impact hiring decisions, especially in different tech sectors? 2️⃣ Given my tech skills and startup background, what strategies can I employ to strengthen my resume for an SDE 2 role? 3️⃣ How significant is the company's reputation when considering a move to a more established startups/MNCs? 4. Is it worth changing or should i continue but pay is low than previous and i am not doing any sde 2 level job. Tech Stack: Java, Python, AWS, Flask, Springboot

Currently I am in my second year from a Tier 3 college. On campus placements at my college for the 2024 batch is really worse. Few companies are hiring for sales roles etc. and most of them are putting tough eligibility criteria and hiring only few. To be very honest, I have no hopes from on campus placements. I am going for the off campus route. What should I do to get a decent intern in third year/fourth year and a decent job by the time of graduation? Talking about my progress, I am doing DSA, taking part in contests in Codechef, Codeforces, and Leetcode. Besides that I have started learning Machine Learning. Have done only the Math part and basics though still now. Been to 2 offline hackathons.

I compared many SDE vs data scientist/ engineer CTC which were public. I can see data roles are paid less . Is it true? Many consider data roles as less coding(tech) roles. Why?

Hi! I just finished my second year at a tier-1 college. I’ve been looking for internships to do this summer, and a startup offered me a backend role of 10k pm stipend that required 8 hours a day commitment. I’d have to travel to their 2-3 times a week to their office that’s 7-8 kms away. I know a decent amount of web dev, have built a MERN clone of Reddit, and I’m pretty good at algorithms. Upon asking one of my mentors about this, he that the guy who’s offering me this role is simply ripping me off. I just wanted a second opinion on this. Am I being underpaid?

I have been working with Infosys for past 5years(total exp) and my current salary is 20LPA CTC. I work on Apple projects and the work has become repetitive over the last three years, primarily focusing on Java, Spring, Microservices, and Elasticsearch. I really want to join a product company now, for better compensation and more engaging work, but I’m uncertain how to proceed. I’ve just been writing APIs and scheduled jobs, and at this point I think I know nothing beyond it. The thought of facing the interview processes of tech giants for senior roles is daunting. Where should I start from? How do I regain my competence?

I'm about to graduate in 2023 and I have a decent offer on campus, but I'm thinking of looking for better opportunities, mostly because of location reasons. Should I apply in March/April, since I can't immediately join? Is the market conducive for entry level SDE roles? Any other tips? Thanks!

Brief intro about myself- I am a male 3rd year undergrad at IITD, not from a circuital department. Companies such as Amazon, Google, Flipkart and Adobe have already hired students from campus but they filter students via branch i.e. unless you're in CS, Maths or Electrical it's close to impossible to land an internship in SDE. Most top students in CS go for HFT companies but still recruiters prefer low GPA CS students over somebody from say mechanical or chemical. I've solved around 200 problems on leetcode/CF and I want to apply to companies by myself off-campus from January. How should I go about it and what are things I should be doing along with my college academics to increase my chances of landing an internship?!
