Not an India problem, even HBS wharton struggling right now. MBA are just always in highlight both in good times and bad
B-Schools are just money minting machines, the so called placement factory tag is now getting diluted as well. They know at least 80% of the batch would be clueless as to why they have enrolled in MBA program so they keep the fees higher due to high demand. So called student driven placements is the shittiest thing, as placecommers think of themselves as the supreme lord of the college, then they get a harsh reality check when they pass out from college and move to corporate world. These colleges just need someone to call HRs to convince them for placements and arrange their stay and food so they create this placement committee in the college. The attached article is really apt and colleges should think about all these points mentioned.
