Has anyone felt corporate is not my cup of tea because you are expected to be someone else that is contradictory from your own self? For example because of your role you are expected to be harsh with people which hurts your core self.

Overthinking doesn't work much. You are tasked to get a job done, you do whatever is in your power to inch towards it. Do not think what you are, what your identity is etc.
Unless your job is like that viral HDFC sales manager who was mis-selling stupid products to unrelated people just because of some target, whatever you are doing is mostly adding some value. So keep doing.
Absolutely, I just quit my role at Amazon, it was all about selling internally the work you do and proving your value rather than focusing on real work

The world would rarely pay you to do what you like (and even if they do, they pay less), they pay you to do what they need to get done. The things which are liked by people, they will seldom pay others to do it, but do it themselves .
So, if you want to do what you like, reduce your requirements from your work in terms of pay, WLB etc (because of how less people want others to do the "interesting" work). Unlike what it would appear, this is not that bad. Live a content life with ok money is not impossible.
If you want to live the comfortable life of a IT worker with money etc., you need to do what is needed.
There are some people who make a lot of money doing what they want, they are extremely lucky.
