Hi everyone, recently i interviewed for a product position in hdfc bank. I did well and was asked to submit documents for offer release. Everything was going fine. But, a couple of days later, I was told that there's a hiring freeze in hdfc. Can someone confirm this? Thanks in advance.

I recently got an offer and the notice period over there is 60 days. In my past companies it was 30 days everywhere. Just wanted to know your opinion.

Is the 60 days notice period too much?

Hi Everyone,

Saying from personal experience, I have noticed that 10/10 times I am getting rejected if I say notice period to be 90 days during a Job Switch.
All companies are looking for 30/60 days joiners.
Even though they themselves have 90 days notice period in their organisation.
But let us say if you say to HR that my notice period is 60 days and then get selected, how to manage? How to securely transition from one organisation to another.
How to negotiate the notice period effectively?

I am a 4 YoE backend engineer on a Python stack. I feel I have a decent profile coz I have got calls from Bosch, L&T, Deloitte, Quantiphi, LTIMindtree and etc., but my profile didn’t get shortlisted every time just because of the 60 day's notice period. I even asked my friends for referrals to companies like Accenture and Infosys. Even after that, my profile also didn't get shortlisted.

Any suggestions? I want to change my company too.

I’m an APM with total exp of 5 years and 3 years of exp in Product.
Current CTC : 14-16
Tier 2 University/College

How much should my ask be, while applying for jobs that could be considered a safe number in terms of CTC? 

Want to gauge before applying since expected CTC is a mandatory question while applying for more jobs.

Also, my org. without my consent has increased my notice period from 30 to 60 days - I’m sure everyone wants an immediate joiner but what would be an ideal notice period range which I should state. This would help me in deciding how much of my notice period should I buy out.

My question is I'm currently on bench,  so if I put my papers tomorrow , will I be asked to serve the 90 days notice period or will I be given an early release , They want me to join in 30 - 45 days . 
So I'm looking for a early release...who should I mail this about , the HR or The RMG 
Someone please clarify...

I stumbled upon a thread here where everyone is going gaga over HDFC Bank stock. We all know it’s a quality bank but at the same time please do some research before going over-bullish. 

Two things worth noticing -

1. DIIs cutting their positions, they know many things which retailers are unaware. Yes, merger would have resulted in some offloading from passive funds but 3% is significant

2. Prashant Jain (3P investments, ex-HDFC AMC) has also viewpoint that valuations were bumped up and now stabilising. 

My overall comment is - Yea, it’s a good stock to own but don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Some well known companies reject potential candidates because notice period at their current organisation is >1 month, but they themselves have 2-3 months of notice period ⚔️

In my opinion, how a company treats an employee after they've resigned relatively tells more about the culture than onboarding/interviewing 🥴
