Hello, all!
 I am a 21 year old student and this is my last year in my 4-year B.E. in electronics and computer science from an MU affiliated college. I also joined for a 2-year honours mini degree in data science along with my course. I don't know what, where and how to start with my career, like I do want to pursue masters and I also have enrolled for iit-gate 2025 in cse field, but to be honest I don't want to completely rely on that only and I don't want to go abroad for anything and I am majorly interested in ai-ml and cybersecurity. I have searched for how to start and all those things but I don't know maybe I just need some motivation or some advice about if I am going in the right way and if I'm doing good at my pace? And what all should I do to accelerate my career and some "white-hair" tips, you know... Please if someone could help me...

Can anyone help me out with choosing course, i just finished my 12th few months back and want to pursue a career in computer/tech field because i am interested in programming computing and all that, but the thing is i dont want to do Btech mtech etc

Bsc + Msc in comp sci / Data science
Or
BCA and then MCA in an NIT thru NIMCET

These are 2 options that are in my mind, or Bsc and then MCA is another option, idk what to do further on and i am confused a lot

I have completed my BE -ECE in 2016, I didn't go to any job due to some family issues and commitments.I really wanted to kickstart my career now..but I am afraid of coding, though I have some basic knowledge in Python HTML and CSS I stopped learning after that..I am afraid that am i able to make a career in IT?
As I am having career break,I am planned to do masters in Germany.. preparing for IELTS and started learning German.Will I get admission in public universities even though I have no work experience?Is my choice is right idk?

So I graduated from a Tier 1 college (non IIT NIT) in May 2021, majoring in CS, and got a job as a Software Engineer. And then just after a few weeks changed to a more CS based good named company. 

Gonna complete a total 2 years of experience, but not feeling if I want to be in the same profession my entire life (even if I consider becoming an Engineering Manager at some stage, that would easily require me first taking atleast 5 more years as an SWE). Not like I don't like coding etc. but feels like this ain't for me. 

So at this point I'm confused if this is my current job that I am feeling like this and it would get better if I change (there was a false alarm like situation that happened when I started this job, so could be a bias), or go back to school to do an MBA (lately I've been getting attracted to it like a magnet)

Even if I go for an MBA, I would want to try hands on on various specialisations (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Strategy), but will keep a good enough focus on Product, my prior tech knowledge could help me. 

Looking at both options, I've been in a dilemma since a very loooooonnngggg time, unable to decide which one to choose. 

Any people who've been in similar situations, can you please help me out ?

Now I have finished half the path... But by now I have three backlogs and now I want to quit ECE, I want to study cse from first year is it a good idea to do so

I have done btech from cse, and got placed in a service based company. I just wanted to know what are the other options available other than being a software engineer. 
Actually I didn't explore the career options myself, always choose whatever is in the trend. But now I think it's time I can choose the right path for my career or atleast give a try.
I don't knowy passion n all, good at academic till 12th grade, then average in graduation.

Career suggestion

RPA Developer

Engineering grad. Transitioned into marketing right out of college. ~2 years of experience. 

Started out on a shit pay, currently underpaid but getting good exposure and learning a lot. 

This was a conscious decision as I am focused on learning, growth and personal development. 

Feedback is, I have made massive professional progress in the last 1.5 years and the company too (at my request) is giving me more agency to explore and diversify my skill set.  

This means; mainly more responsibilities, a few operations related decisions & tasks and a few sales calls and client presentations.  

I work at a very small startup and I feel, despite having the opportunity to learn here, the environment or mostly the pay is too shit/low. 

I am already a star employee here and I feel it would be a good time to switch, to be amongst a group wherein I can get more challenges and opportunities. Of course, a higher pay would be wonderful as well. 

While, job switching is an option, I am also thinking about doing an MBA. 

I feel if I can build upon this momentum and get into a good college - it would negate years of grind that I would have to put (in the current scenario). 

I really would like you good people to analyse my situation and help me out, please.

I'm from the cursed batch , 2024 which is about to end within 2 months , after I'll be at home with no placements in hand , it's all my fault coz I didn't study, I have just 7.02 cgpa and college didn't even shortlist my name , so instead of having a year gap , should I do mtech from local college so that side by side I can grind req skills 
Like there are 2 sides of this 
First one , having a gap (let's say 6 months) and trying hard off campus to crack a company.
Second one , doing mtech from local college, and in that time period trying to get off campus, why off campus, it is obvious local college= no placement
Now gate preparation also req time , and this year gate exam has already been done . So waiting for the next gate exam will be no point .

A little about myself: 22, just graduated Btech CS from tier 1 college, got placed in a few tier 1 companies, baniya (relevant), and good at engineering in general ( won several actually honourable awards internationally, from government of India, some IIT random techfests, etc). Point of telling this being to get some credibility for the readers so that they don’t take me as a young dumb overconfident 20yr old. (maybe I am?)
I really want to earn money, probably in my genes, my father wants the same for me. My dad has a decent wholesale business (around 1cr per year profit) and I don’t mind moving in it as well. It’s recommended to stay sometime in corporate to learn the nitty gritties of life and other aspects. I don’t mind that either.
Personally, I want to get into entrepreneurship, but again it’s easier said that done, how to start, idea, implementation and everything else it’s just the tip of the iceberg. People of my age (some of them being close to me as well) have started their ventures and have got funding upto 500k USD and it makes me jls.
I’ll be probably joining an MNC and will stay for around 1 year and then see how it goes.
I’ll be really helpful if fellow grapeviners can shed some words of wisdom on how to go on here to a startup/business/high earning journey?

I am not prepared for this , I have understanding of basic data structures and front end developement knowing basic javascript. 
I am stressed as the campus recruitments are not  going well less number of companies are visiting and hirings are very low . 


I am very much afraid of being unemployed, I don't know what should I do . 
I wanna go with offcampus placements but am not prepared for this what should I do please help me .

I am an okay level program who can understand code. I did business analyst internship in a small firm and liked the job. What are the tips to get started as business analyst in full time? What all are the skills and tips to get hired as a fresher?

Need help to get my career started

I wanted to reach out for some advice regarding my current situation at work. I’m working as a Guidewire developer, but I’m feeling quite stuck. I have no interest in this because the demand for Guidewire skills seems to be very limited, with only a few service-based companies utilizing it, and the compensation in those companies is quite low.

I have aspirations to work at top companies in roles like frontend, backend, or DevOps. However, my heavy workload is making it challenging to prepare for these transitions. I’m worried that if I continue in this position for several years, my experience will be viewed as irrelevant when applying elsewhere, as companies are not actively seeking Guidewire engineers.

I feel like I’m not growing in my current role and would really appreciate any suggestions or insights you might have on how to navigate this situation. 

I am feeling depressed these days due to this problem. Should I take a bold step and resign?
