I'm starting a new company and am assembling a team, in all my previous startups had like 7 people working but now everyone is settled and few have retired coz made too much from the exits so back to assembling a new team :p

As in all my previous startups I paid an average of 40Lpa an 2-3% ESOPs to all the early team they made insane wealth. But now I'm thinking of going lower and meet the realities of the market rather than paying higher why not paying the market rate?

I have been taking multiple interviews and experienced this people consider higher salaries to be a lie they want to earn dirt-cheap salaries and don't trust themselves with what they deserve and in the end ended up mocking me. One of the senior people that I interviewed thought 3lakhs per month was very high no-one pays that much. Same goes for an intern who I decided to pay 1lakh per month thought it's not possible and ghosted me thinking I'm scamming him ( his job was to meet high profile people make connection with different founders by going to parties and events regularly )!

My new startup is not in crypto but in something unique!

What do you'll think should I pay people less as that's what they think they deserve?

I have many friends who are into IT and Tech(read again Tech not IT). Whenever I am speaking to the IT folks and understand their aspirations I always find that they have this strange thing mentioned every now and then i.e. Going to the Clients location(all overseas) for a couple of months and coming back or extending for a longer duration say a few years and purchasing a house/flat back in India. 

I don't understand how going to the client's location(even if it's on Mars) and earning $$$ can be life's ultimate goal. 

What am I missing here? 

I am not able to understand since I have always believed that life's ultimate goal would be always bigger for people(achievable/non achievable are different things). 
Does working in IT make people so myopic that they are destined to think in  the straight line process and wait for that token(at least what I have heard is that it's some weird selection they do to select and send you abroad on the projects). May be this thought process makes most of the crowd stick to the systems for years and decades at work. Is it considered that bigger of an achievement OR Is it a way to make people stick around for longer duration ?

I was being paid less by the company. But I continued as it allowed some personal time and I was expecting senior positions. However, the company has appointed someone(was close to top.mgmt) as my head and my chances of senior roles are bleak now. 
Should I keep playing the chess/politics or just lookout for something else? 
ps- my seniors have left the company and I am not finding any sponsor/godfather who can put forward my case.

- companies with a bad product are still struggling 
- companies with a good product are still growing
- rent in Bangalore, Mumbai is still sky high 
- salaries are still high, people are still asking for more 
- food is expensive as ever 
- stock prices of companies that fired people never really went up

Layoffs were a total failure at changing anything

After the recent RBI mandate to banks and NBFCs against unsecured personal loans, the lenders have pulled back their hands from digital lending. My company has already started facing the impact. Tomorrow onwards we won't be able to disburse any new loans from our platform because the lender is unsure of the road ahead.

Personally, I can't afford to go through another layoff this year :')

I have a doubt. I have a SIP in mutual fund. I am a bit confused about February month. Let's say my SIP date is on 2nd Feb, so what would be the next SIP date ? 
I don't think it would be 2nd of march as the difference between these two dates would be 28 days only but as far as I know, there should be atleast 30 days gap between two installments in SIP. 

Would be great if anyone can clarify this. 😅
