I’ve always had this question on why Indians are very stingy when it comes to paying money for premium products. I agree there are Indians especially in the young generation who aren’t shy from spending for quality products but the masses are still stuck in the bargaining or cheap mindset. 

When we look for cars the first thing we probably check is kitna mileage dega ?

When we look at a premium product we compare it to a copy or a product that does not offer the same quality or service that a premium product offers. 

What are the reasons to it and when or how can we come out of it. This is one of the reasons we have got the “slave / miser ” label outside our county and why we’ve got weak passports which make it difficult to take a vacation like citizens of other countries .

I came across this on Agoda, and it's truly absurd. People pay to observe individuals living in poverty and dire conditions in Dharavi , resembling a human zoo. Do Westerners consider this to be a tourist destination after watching "Slumdog Millionaire"? What's the matter with people today?

So finally, someone spoke about this fraudulent startup AstroTalk. How they operate and how they take advantage of gullible people, is completely explained in the video. These kinds of startups need to be busted on LinkedIn and other social media platforms so that no one calls prey for such cheap tactics. This is just another BYJUs in the making. The cofounder is an IIT IIM grad. Shows how greed can even pollute the minds of even highly educated people. Really don't understand how the VCs can be so fucking dumb, funding them with 165 Crores!! Shocking but it isn't surprising since the Indian Startup ecosystem is filled with such scam artists.

Defender is literally turning into a high class chapri car 😛 I am expecting a floor of JLRs when Tatas will start manufacturing it in India instead of getting the kits from UK.

Why suddenly every celeb is buying Range/Land Rover? 🧐

I have been pursuing some aspirational products like Apple Watch SE, Airpods Pro 2, PS5 etc. since a long time. I go to the Amazon page and add it to cart but then my conscience questions me as to is it worth spending so much on it? I earn decently and live in BLR but still I dont fully understand to give my mind a valid reason for purchasing a 40k Watch that shows time, some metrics and some automation. Also 20k for listening music, 50k for playing games.

It feels as if is it sane to spend much on these personal material stuff? How do you folks look at this while making purchases?

How is the luxury sector job market in India rn?

Sooo I feel like Bangalore is a city that lives on Hype, everyone is just trying to be cool and are too afraid of actually call out stuff for what they are. 

Few examples (my personal opinion) 

Eat Naru - it’s good ramen, but you can definitely find better or as good (bookings are sold out in minutes) 
Pizza 4Ps - Average pizza, great hospitality but not worth waiting for a booking a month in advance 
Ultrahuman ring - It’s not even that accurate for that price 
March Tee - good T-shirt, but you can find so much better at that price point

I am seeing lots of 22 years old who have opened their digital marketing agency and earning really good money by working with freelance clients who pay in dollars. 

I am starting up and I want a source of income. Don't really want to go to corporate job. 

Haven't had much success with freelancing. Cold mailing hardly works and gig websites like Upwork etc have lots of competition at some really cheap rate. 

What are the best way to getting freelance work with international clients? Any help would be highly appreciated.

What's the obsession with food these days?
Instagram has food vloggers, every other women is cooking staple diet with some romantic music in bg & people are going gaga over those videos?
These influencers are acting as if they are teaching something which is inaccessible to people for a long time.
And then we have pseudo-scientific nutritionists. Every other nutritionists discredits each other's opinion. In essence, they are just like astrologers. Fear mongering about our own diet & gullible people buying expensive shit.
The whole food business just like every health & allied business is a scam because they feed on your insecurity. The beauty & cosmetic products is another example. Protein Powder industry. Seeds/Nuts. Man, what a bunch of hype-induced souls.

- The hype you give to your skillsets in your resume
- The hype you give to your favorite cricketer when he walks into the field
- The hype you give to your favorite film stars when there is an entry scene
- The hype you wish to create by posting a WhatsApp status or an Instagram post
- The hype women give to their wedding wearing gold jewelry & costumes
- The hype you generate to elevate your standard of living through indulging in luxury
- The hype you give to your partner in maintaining a romantic relationship.
- The hype you create during birthdays & anniversaries
- The hype you expect in social media of a photo that you’ve posted

Hype has become a need in this world. Hype is not wrong. But people refuse to accept their efforts put in to hype something. Hype is underrated. Call it a paradox.

Some people might qualify this post as LinkedInworthy. The same people want to stay relevant in this app by behaving as trolls.
