Specifically for door lock but do share ur views in general. I have bulb of qubo and fan of atomberg. Satisfied with both. But Qubo has some home management user restriction, beyond which u need to pay like subscription. But they look more mature in case of door lock at least.

I have been following new-age Consumer Electronics brands for a while now. On average, every SKU screams "45% off!" while established players barely have any. Sure, it lures budget-conscious tech people, but at what cost? What baffles me more is these companies are profitable, with mass reach they will achieve economies of scale which would make them more profitable.

Discounting every SKU breeds a "sale-or-bust" mentality. Customers get hooked on that 50% fix, and your brand becomes synonymous with slashed prices. Raising prices later? Forget it. You've anchored them at the discounted value, and any upward revision feels like a betrayal.

Have you ever bought a gadget at a mind-blowing discount? Did it change your perception of the brand?

I usually buy my medicines at local pharmacy shop only as they give me 10-20% discount at MRP. Sometimes i buy medicine at apollo which are not available at local store. They give credit on MRP and mostly same credit is given in same MRP of the product. In the end , everything i buy from apollo will be at MRP. 

Another case is of zomato. I have to eat biryani from one of the restaurant. Price was to have at restaurant is Rs 140 and zomato shows me around 260 to be paid. As i was not lazy at that time and i went to restaurant itself.

Now comes lenskart, making a glasses with good frame is around 200-300 . They charge 2000-2500. I agree that we have to find frame and glasses by ourself through ebay or something else. In this case also i got good glasses with frame at around 1800. Glass quality is always shit in lenskart.

All the big companies talk about digital revolution but they just come with better presentation and website.

Guys is this real? If the battery charge decreases the price increases. I was trying to book flights( I was in a hurry) , and at the moment the charge was below 20, prices were jumping. But the moment I plugged it in the power Bank the price decreased.

So he paid xxx Rupees to the person for a Call 1:1 and he asked if I'm having 2.5yrs exp I need to switch to faang
This guy '22 Passout says I will give you a roadmap for 6 months you need to pay 23,xxx Rupees I will give you a referral in my faang (He is in one of them) I have the roadmap I will make sure you learn LLD 
My senior has 2.5 exp in a startup that was listening to him and eventually said I'll think about it and ended the call

Someone who has just entered is giving advice like they have worked for 5-6 years
I've seen students in college start topmate and they are in top1% stuff
Do these things are really required 
And Ego of those is such high 
They are not realising achieving faang is part of life not the whole life

My current CTC is 1.3CR . 50% is cash, 50% is stocks.

Here is my CTC progression over the years

1st - 12L
2nd - 12L (Switched Companies)
3rd - 15L 
4th - 24L (Switched companies)
5th - 42L (Switched Companies)
6th - 48L
7th - 66L
8th - 72L
9th - 1.3Cr (Switched Companies)

As you can see I almost everytimg doubled my compensation when I switched my companies. But there are reasons to stay at a company as well. If you are learning and are able to handle different problems at scale, stay. When you feel stuck, leave and look for better opportunities. I have never switched job to get more money. I love CS. I have been coding since 15 years. What made me switch was either bad managers, uninteresting problems not visibility of learning and growth.

For me it was always startups and now looking at the landscape I think it’s very hard. For 8 years, I just wasted my time.

Anything I am building is failing. Couldn’t raise any funds, non of my products reached mass market or gain enough profits. Have skills but non to utilise on!

Indian B2C is extremely hard, and even though people think Saas is great, bad news guys, Indian business rather use excel than pay for jira. There is a saying now - “Easier to earn a dollar than a rupee”.

Have meet so many founders and VCs. Most of them lost touch of reality. Either moved to US or on leave from their own startups.

Only think I know is going through a complete mental breakdown and no one to look up to. My gf left last year, can’t even get any jobs in this market neither can build something useful.
