A little bit about what we do: 

EquityList is a full-stack equity management platform by AngelList India. Companies across India, US and Singapore use EquityList to manage their cap table, stock options (ESOP/SAR), shareholders, and related compliances. Managing equity for 10k+ stakeholders, 250+ companies and ~$1B in stock options.

I have an MVP version of a startup idea. No revenue yet. Someone is keen to angel invest. How does this work? Can someone answer these questions for me?

- If suppose Person X puts in 50L, how do I value my company and thereby equity? 
- How do I authorise and distribute shares?
- Someone mentioned I should do a SAFE - can someone explain how'd that work and would that be a better option than choosing a random number
- If I give 20% of company for 50L, how does that change if I raise a future round? Do I issue additional shares?

Not talking about becoming a LP or joining a VC/PE. (I know the pros and cos, the glamour and the ugly pieces) . While there are some fintech startups where you can invest as low as 5000/- in a startup, I believe these aren’t for me. Any guidance on how I begin. What should I do to reach 100 cr in 10-15 years?

I'm an ambitious person who can work his ass off. But I lack direction, I don't know what I should do to get there.

Any answer can give me a better perspective. But please refrain from questioning the ambition.

I'm in tech and I make 22 lacs/year (4 years of exp)

My current portfolio split up:
6 lacs - Nifty 50 MF
5 lacs - FD
10-20 lacs - real estate

20 lacs to 100 crores

1. Wake up at 4am 
 2. Plan the day ahead by brainstorming new ideas for profitability 
 3. Go to gym, invest in your body 
 4. Reach out to your customers before your morning coffee, helps set the tone for the day. 
 5. Rob a bank 
 6. Repeat till you reach your target of 100 crores.

Acquiring funding for a startup in india has become a hassle. I myself have been doing research on seed funding Vc's and angel investors. All they ask is pitch deck and LinkedIn profile. Which they don't even go through and just reply with an email saying we are not eligible for funding. On the other side US and other countries are getting funding at the ideation stage. I guess we can't even go for crowdfunding. Started building MVP, but halfway through the hurdle and unable to resume the development due to limited resources.

Tired of applying everywhere for funding.

I have some money to invest and knowledge about startups and funding.
Is it enough for me to be a VC or I've to join some VC firm or take a course?
