How do you overcome low days? (Indian parents term for being "lazy")
Last two months had been great, I was consistently building a morning routine. Included little fitness too. Happy how my body felt energetic. Until one day, "I didnβt feel like getting up" Two weeks, Schedule is back to groggy mornings, skipped breakfast, put on visible fat
Work has got shittier. My day starts with 2 hours of compulsory, back-to-back meetings, followed by more 1-O-1s through the day. The meetings are just crying how things are bad, not working out, employees are not putting efforts, revenue is down, sales is not performing, clients are leaving - 3 hours later, we still haven't got a action plan. What's the use?
This wasnβt meant to be a rant. Just that cannot tell people to fuck off. I feel should tell a part of me to fuck off too.

Well, coming to ur question....ig we all have low days/week maybe in my case.
When work gets shittier and things are not working as expected routine and other things will get fucked no doubt it t happens will all of us.
What matters is to restart it again and since you have done it previously you can do it again bru have a little faith in urself.
-
Start with small steps, like I used to go running on a daily basis and it helps both mentally and physically
-
Try to set some boundaries at work. Block out time for focused work without meetings if you can π
-
Focus on positive aspects and small achievements in your life, and build some rewarding mechanics for urself. Go out watch some movie or something, go for clubing if ur into it.
itβs okay to have off days. Just take it one step at a time and be kind to yourself.......ye waqt bhi guzar jayega π
whenever i feel down, i think about this scene

Depends on your reason for "not getting up".
If you're physically exhausted due to workouts/other chores then maybe try doing something easier that doesn't exhaust you.
If it's mental exhaustion (which likely seems to be in your case), journaling your thoughts could help in calming down your brain. Better therapy would be to talk about your state to friends/family.
I too had a similar situation a couple of months back due to job related tension and every morning I used to feel mentally drained just after waking up. This made me lose my workout schedule, my room got messier and I in general became more short tempered. What I suggested you above worked out well for me. Job situation is still the same but I'm not as much tensed as earlier and I'm back to my routine
This can happen to anyone. Multiple reasons could be the cause. For me it usually is burned out, not always necessarily due to work. Sometimes it is due to family situations, or the environment itself is.
During this time I usually take a day off and spend it on doing what makes me happy like some activity or a bike ride etc. I try to ensure that during this day off I am not interrupted from work or anywhere else.
@random_user_ Will try, leaves are looked down in our company, so an anxiety inducing task in itself
Maybe because you haven't had all these types of rest in the past couple of months: https://www.calm.com/blog/7-types-of-rest
Ensure that once in a while you have had all these types of rest.
Wishing you the best!
I was today's years old that we need 7 rests. This is great @LokiPen Thank you! π
You already have the answer. " Work got shittier". Companies want to run marathon as a 100m dash. It's impossible. Some might get lucky but majority are at some point going to pull the trigger and say fuck it. It's happening across the world, people just are happy following a laid back life style. Many have come to a point in life that they want peace more than anything .
Oh the 'im disappointed in myself' is real after you just stop. I've come to accept (partially) that these abrupt stops are bound to happen. I wait a couple of weeks for that 'eureka' moment where I feel 'fuck it we ball' again and restart my routine.

Same here, My company states that things are bad.And also my high impact project is being transferred to a junior (Since a senior engineer always helps him). Even though I got promoted with a good hike,I am on the hit list to get fired. I panicked at first, slowly I am gaining my sanity back and applying for interviews. I am fucked I haven't practiced DSA yet ,hard time are ahead for me.
