How many Indians work in FAANGM's engg teams..?
Basically title, globally what would be the share of Indians working in the BigTech's/MNCs' engg teams..? In MSFT I feel like I see atleast one or more Indians in every team I come across... May be it's some bias that I only remember the teams with Indians but still feels like indians form the major part of the global tech work force.. have you felt the same..?
In Google, I think it would be around 10-15%. Nowadays, Google is mainly hiring in Poland and India, so it's steadily increasing.
As for Amazon, this figure would be maximum among all FAANG as atleast 30-50% will be Indians. I have heard Meta and Apple are mainly dominated by Chinese, so guess it would be less than 10% for both companies.
Not sure about other companies but at Amazon it’s definitely above 30%. Where else would they find bonded labours on L1 working in their pip factory.
There is a difference between Indian-origin and Indians. Indian-origin are basically first world citizens with all first world perks and have silver spoons( would have graduated ivy league BA degrees etc ). They are on paper resume basis indistinguishable from their white counterparts. If you are talking of Indians - they are the struggling class who go through multiple hoops of H1B, GC if at all to land or promise of a FAANGM American dream.
