As a fresher in an IT company working as a backend developer, I am really confused with how to proceed ahead for growth in my career. 
I have two options : 

1.Learn Frontend and be Full stack dev
2. Move to devops 

I need advice which would be more feasible and why. Keeping interests aside as of now since I would be new to both domains.

Any new ideas or domains are also welcomed!

Hey folks,
I am a senior software engineer at Swiggy working in as a mobile engineer for the past 5 years.
I have worked on few backend & infra stack in past companies (node js, go-lang, kubernetes, s3, etc) just for exploring and expanding my horizon.
I am thinking of seriously perusing this now.

What are my options here? I am open to learning via online course / my own side projects.

Also how to approach for hiring given it won’t be my expertise but I am willing to be hired at a lower package for the long term benefits.

Reason to consider a transition is boredom with working in a single domain.

Frontend Engineer

When I saw Twitter and LinkedIn most of people titles shows fullstack developer and here I am afraid of calling my self a frontend enginner, because there is so much to learn in each domain itself.

Currently, I am working as a Frontend Developer in my current company and each day I am learning something new in Frontend. 

My question is that, should I continue exploring Frontend in my initial years and gradually explore other domains like backend or devops.

Because, I stunned by looking at the Job description of the companies that are hiring even for entry level jobs.

I wanted to your thoughts on this, What you do in your company and how you all improve the domain you are working on.

I've recently started my journey with a product-based company as a fresher, where my primary focus revolves around backend development using Node.js. Although I thoroughly enjoy delving into backend architecture and databases, I find myself at a crossroads. Heard many discussions among seniors of the rise of Deno, Go, and Rust, suggesting a shift from JavaScript. In view of a long-term perspective, I am contemplating dedicating time to learning an additional technology and engaging in side projects. I am a 3YoE backend developer with little AI role and web development experience in the industry and I wanted to grow my career as more like an ✨Elite Engineer✨ who not just builds stuff but optimizes it to the core, oversees the future bottlenecks, the alternative approaches blah blah and you get the point. But the problem is that my learning is all over places. Please suggest/ guide you to be that ✨Elite Engineer✨ if you can. I want to continue to be a backend engineer (no more switching domain)

Disclaimer: I don’t want to do it because of the money (of course I need a future) but to have a solid understanding of it (it would be great if I end up as SDE)

Any one here who after certain years of experience in front end (web or mobile) switched to backend or vice versa. If yes, did your existing org. provided you the opportunity or you got it outside? I am current working on native android with 7+ years of experience and I want to switch to backend. Any suggestions?

Switch to backend from front end.

Currently I am doing an SLI in the frontend team ( React ) at a good company, So for the full time roles after college should I stay in frontend or look for backend opportunities ? What is better for the future ?

How i can switch my tech stack?

- I am from a non CS background
