How to convince companies to hire remotely
I am not part of the Bangalore/Hyderabad group and due to personal reasons can't move there. Due to this a lot of opportunities get lost as companies don't entertain applications. Is there a way to convince the hiring manager against this?
Why don't you just try applying to companies which are remote from the start? There are many many websites for these jobs too.
Have tried. Not many companies are hiring remotely at the moment.
Good product based companies (older than 5+ years) are usually based out of Bangalore/ Hyderabad and they hire for on-site roles.
I have nothing against on site roles but there should be some form of consideration for people who cannot relocate.
This is a loss for the companies as well as there are a sizeable number of qualified engineers who are not ably to apply due to this constraint.
Well from which websites have you tried finding those remote companies?

Completely relate! Honestly, never thought would feel so bad not being from Bangalore or Hyderabad (I'm from Delhi) imagine what people from non metro cities feel!
The question is rather how to convince them to hire remotely for people who are not able to relocate to the job's location.
Unless you’re very good or niche hire I don’t see how to convince. I am curious though as some job positions even though hybrid or in office, get converted to remote for few
